Oversee the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures related to Risk, Compliance,
Corporate Governance, Sustainability and Cybersecurity ensuring the proper establishment of related frameworks,
controls, and tools that enable SALIC to proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate any potential business risks, while
maintaining the highest levels of compliance and integrity of the fund.

Accountability Detailed Responsibilities

▪ Lead the development, implementation, and continuous updating of SALIC’s


Risk Management strategy including risk identification, analysis, response

▪ Ensure the effective implementation of SALIC business strategy through


leadership of the GRC team – setting individual objectives, managing

and developing talent in line with the organizational structure.

▪ Oversee implementation of appropriate Divisions policies, processes, systems,


standards, procedures and internal controls, organizational guidelines to

▪ Recommend improvements in internal processes against best practices in
pursuit of greater efficiency in line with international standards.

▪ Oversee the development and management of the Risk, Compliance, Corporate


Governance, Sustainability and Cybersecurity policies, processes, procedures,
and systems that align with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring that all
internal functions and any relevant stakeholders adhere to them to achieve the

GRC full required efficiency for the fund.


▪ Identify the risk appetite of SALIC and set the execution framework to enable
the efficiency and compliance of operations within standards.
▪ Identify and assess the risks to SALIC, and ensure that effective controls are put
in place and implemented to mitigate those risks.

▪ Oversee SALIC’s risk framework, including risk identification, categorization, and


mitigation mechanisms to enable proactive risk management in alignment with
local and global best practices.
▪ Oversee portfolio risk analysis framework and provide recommendations to
ensure financial sustainability with regards to SALIC’s assets both locally and
internationally.
Risk Management ▪ Oversee the implementation of SALIC enterprise risk management strategy,
including risk identification, analysis, response planning, monitoring, and
control, to identify the root causes and highlight the potential risk-related
implications to ensure the protection of the fund.
▪ Provide advice and guidance on risk management related matters to SALIC
leadership.

▪ Oversee the development, maintenance, and implementation of SALIC’s


compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to
Compliance relevant, officially approved policies, procedures and guidelines across all SALIC
functions and identify instances of non-compliance.

▪ Oversee the development SALIC’s corporate governance framework, manual


and associated guidelines, policies, and tools to ensure an effective governance

Corporate Governance mechanism is in place across all BUs/functions and ensure its effective
implementation and ensure the development of solid governance mechanisms
and controls across SALIC.

▪ Direct and oversee the development of an integrated sustainability strategy and


identification of initiatives and requirements to address sustainability concerns
Sustainability and achieve sustainability goals to ensure that SALIC effectively and carefully
manages its impact upon the public and upon the wider environment.

▪ Oversee the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies,


processes, and procedures in order to ensure the security of SALIC’s critical
Cybersecurity information systems, resistance to breach attempts, and the continuous
improvement to meet the present and emerging threats to cybersecurity.

Job Specifications

Industry / Domain Risk Management / Governance or any related field.

Qualifications and
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Risk Management or similar fields. (Preferred MBA)
