Dear Acorns & Parents

Greetings!!
The 22nd year of Silver Oaks, Mighty Oaks campus and 3rd year of Oakdale campus began
with ‘WELL-BEING’ on 20th March 2023. Well-being of the acorns, teachers, all members
of the school and parents.
And then came the summer break for 60 days to relax, unwind, have fun, to learn
something new, to give time for hobbies, to rejuvenate, to energize, etc.
We hope all of you had a fantastic summer break filled with relaxation, new experiences
and cherished memories. We are excited to reconnect with each and everyone of you
and a warm welcome to our new students and their families who have joined the school
community.
Now it’s time to get back to school from tomorrow, 12th June.
Dear Acorns
During the vacation we educators while we took a break for some days to relax,
rejuvenate and energize, we also upskilled ourselves by attending online workshops,
participating in Capacity Building Program conducted by the CBSE and all of us attending
the Professional Development sessions conducted by the school. And we are ready to
share our stories.
Have you upskilled yourself? So come prepared to share your stories calling it as
‘Summer of 2023 and I’. You may share in the most creative manner you wish to or
orally too.
We have been working diligently for the academic year, and are eager to embark on this
journey of learning, growth and exploring together. All of us have collaborated and have
been working hard to create a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment
that will foster character development, academic excellence and overall well-being. Our
goal is to ignite your curiosity, spark creativity and cultivate critical thinking skills that
will help you transform in order to enhance your intellectual capacities.
In addition to the academic offerings, we have exciting extra-curricular activities, sports
events, educational field trips, talent show over the year to help you explore and
enhance your interests and skills. We encourage all of you to involve and participate in
all the activities. These activities provide opportunities to build your abilities, develop
leadership skills, and nurture a well-rounded personality.

Parents
We understand the importance of effective communication [sometimes multiple
communications to be informed people] and fostering positive partnership between
school and parents. We encourage parents to stay actively involved in their child’s
education and to reach out to us whenever needed. Together we can create a supportive
network that promotes harmony, well-being and holistic development of our students.

Our processes are in place, sharing a few points with you, as you and we are partners in
grooming your child.
With some parents change of transport plan [shifting from own transport to
school transport and vice-versa], there could be some teething problems related

- For school transport: Check the transport details that have been shared and
plan to be in time. Also go through the letter on important info regarding
transport.
AC buses. Therefore, no eating in the buses.
For the safety of all those who travel in the buses, eating in the buses will not
be allowed from henceforth. As food crumbs may attract rodents which may
damage the bus wiring and also spread strong smells.

- For own transport: Parents kindly make sure to drop your child in the campus
by 7.50 in the morning at the security and pick up your child at the security
between 2.45 – 2.55pm. Do follow the protocol in the safety and security of

Books: Hope the books have been purchased. For tomorrow bring a journal and a pen.

Lunch: We shall resume the lunch facility with our canteen partner once the school
finalizes the operative modalities. Until then kindly plan home lunch.
ID card: Most of the existing students have received the id cards, those pending will also
be distributed by the end of the week. The new students too will receive their id cards
by the end of the week.

Newspaper in Education (NIE): For students from Grade 4 to Grade 10, will receive a
hard copy Times of India-Student edition. They will carry it home every day, you could
read it together or have dinner table discussions based on the current events.

Library books: We have a well-stocked library and two librarians. We encourage all our
acorns to develop a love for reading (Culture to Read), for this we had issued books to
all existing students before the summer break. Make sure to send it on 19th June.

Physical Activities: We have planned the physical activities in accordance to the age
groups. This year we are introducing Tennis for grades 1 to 10. They will have it either in
term-1 or term-2.

Stationery Policy (Culture to Conserve): Students need not carry any stationery from
home. All the required stationery will be issued in the school and will use it from the
common class stationery kit. However, students from G4 to G10 need to bring their own
pens. Request you to be watchful in case they by mistake carry some school stationery
home. Send it back and ask them to put it back in the class kit.

Parent School Partnership: Our theme for this year is ‘Well-being’. Any inputs from you
in that direction are welcome.

To help you understand our plans clearly, we have developed, and shared comprehensive
Google sites with all required information. Sharing them again for your convenience.
Kindly go through once again.
