Task 10: Look at the picture below, write at least 200 words describing the
effects of human activities on the Earth’s climate.

The given picture illustrates how the Earth receives radiation from the sun and the impact
of humans on global climate.
Firstly, the sun is the source of heat radiation. This radiation enters the Earth's atmosphere
in a variety of ways, including being reflected and scattered by clouds, as well as being
absorbed by the atmosphere and clouds. As a result, the sun's radiation warms the Earth. Some
of the heat from the Earth is lost at night. The heat is then trapped and reflected to Earth by
the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Our planet is sufficiently heated for life thanks to this
trapped heat. Pollution, however, might result in more greenhouse gases being released into
the atmosphere. More heat is trapped and reflected by more greenhouse gases.
The burning of fossil fuels, which release carbon dioxide gas into the atmosphere, is the
main contributor. Carbon dioxide (CO 2), methane (CH 4), nitrous oxide (N 2O), and the
halocarbons (a collection of gases including fluorine, chlorine, and bromine) are the four main
greenhouse gases that are emitted as a result of human activity. Increased due to the use of
fossil fuels for transportation, heating, and cooling of buildings, as well as to produce cement
and other products. Therefore, the climate system can grow warmer or cooler as the
abundance or qualities of gases and particles in the atmosphere change.
