Nritya ..... meaning dance is rythematic movements
which creates visual design and spatial experiences
by a series of poses and tracing of patterns
through the space .
The concept is to translate this essence of Nritya

into the house by introducing the ever changing
play of nature through play of shadows, flowing
water bodies and emphasis on seasonal changes,
hence designing an abode where the nature will
perform it's dance ie; Nrityangan
The brief is to design a residence for the dancer's

family . The owner couple is a classical dancer by
profession therefore the dance studio and spaces
for the performance are the additional
requirements with four bedroom house .
The site is located at the foothills of Panhala fort

with the picturesque view of valley residing in the
nature's lap and the view of Pawangarh fort at the
backside .

The garden hospital
Healing is not only about physical state but also

about the mental state of human beings especially
children. The surrounding can affect directly to
one's healing process. The question is 'In which
physical condition one can get healed quickly? '
The obvious answer is natural surrounding ie an
open space closer to nature with good light and
ventilation.
Thought behind the design is to convert the

pediatric hospital into garden without
compromising it's functional needs instead of
following the ordinary typology of hospitals.
The brief is to design a pediatric hospital with three
number of OPDs , a general ward with 15 beds of
capacity, NICU and ICU with capacity of 5 beds
each.
The site given for pediatric hospital is located in

the most important area of the Kolhapur city. It is
very near to the most crowded area with very
important government offices and the famous
round about ie Dhairyaprasad Chowk. The site

15 minutes from the central bus stand and the
central railway station. The site has 15 m high
water tank on the right side and has low rise
bungalows on remaining sides. Has the 9 m wide
road at the front.

What a greater means of relaxation than getting
refreshed inside the nature's realm
The concept is developed from movement of

pause beneath a large tree with family or yourself
experiencing cooler shade which take off all the
exhaustion and providing nothing but a greater
feel of relaxation
The brief is to design a motel with restaurant for

120 people and shopping area with shops of fruits
jams , travelling kits etc. Also the sops are designed
for the brands like KFC , Mc Donald .
The site is located near to topsambhapur along the

national highway . The site has a scenic lake
covering approx. 40% of site area .
Planning includes the axial placement of the

spaces on BTH shorter and longer spans of the
rectangular site . Main entry is placed on the
shorter axis . The most active space of the motel
that is restaurant and food court , these are placed
along the axis perpendicular to the main entry .

While developing the form , a big tree diagrammed
as an inverted pyramid placed on the vertical
support . The formed diagram , then copied on all
the vertical supports . Further the heights are
varied through -out to get the better light and
ventilation .
