    1) (A) UNSEEN PASSAGE (5)

    Read the passage and answer the questions:

    Meera went to the school outside her house. In the park she saw a very pretty butterfly.The butterfly was blue
    and yellow in colour. It was sitting on a white petal.

    Soon she saw that there were four more butterflies. One
    other butterfly was black and white. When she went to touch
    this butterfly, it flew away. This made Meera jump a little.
    The butterfly went and sat under a tree. Meera ran down to
    the tree, but by then it was gone. She tried to follow it, but
    couldn’t find it again.

    Meera soon left for home. When she reached her house, she
    was surprised to see the butterfly sitting by her window. This
    got a smile on her face.
    a) What did Meera see in the park outside her house?
    b) What were the colours of butterfly seen by Meera?
    c) Was Meera able to catch the butterfly in the park?
    d) Why was she surprised on reaching home?
