 ABSTRACT
The Car EMI Calculator Android project is a user-friendly application designed
to assist individuals in calculating and planning their car loan payments. The app
aims to simplify the process of estimating equated monthly installments (EMIs) by
providing an intuitive interface and robust calculation algorithms.
With the rising popularity of car loans, it becomes crucial for potential buyers to
have a clear understanding of the financial commitment involved. The Car EMI

The Car EMI Calculator Android project delivers an intuitive and efficient

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
The category of patients involves all human beings-teachers, students, businessmen,
housewives, children and also all of us have a busy hectic schedule. Today’s life is full of
responsibilities and stress. So, people are prone to diseases of different types and it is our duty to
make ourselves stay fit and healthy. If the patient stays at home, then he or she might get someone
to look after him/her but when one is not at home, is out of the city or state away from home then
it is hard for the family members to call them and remind them their dosage timings every time. In
our developing and technology dependent life we totally rely on gadgets especially smartphones.
Today everyone has a smart phone. With this we get an opportunity to use technology in a
better way so that it can be made useful to us. And it plays an important part in our daily life and
helps us staying fit in many ways. The remarkable problem is that patients forget to take the proper
medicines in proper proportion and in proper time. Medication adherence, which refers to the
degree or extent to which a patient takes the right medication at the right time according to a
doctor’s prescription, has recently emerged as a serious issue because many studies have reported
that non-adherence may critically affect the patient, thereby raising medical costs.

1.1. Problem Definition

Health is one of the most important things for most individual simply because without a
good health nothing seems to go well. In recent times new diseases have emerged which needs to
be taken care off by taking medicine or pills routinely. In addition, the working conditions of some
individual is bad and hectic and as such had resulted them in forgetting to take their administered
medicine and pills in the appropriate timing or proportion and for some people its old age, most
elderly people suffers from dementia i.e. forgetfulness. Not taking the prescribed medicine at the
proper dosage or sometimes could result to what is referred to as medicine adherence which can
be stated to as the extent at which the medicine is taken at the correct doctor prescribed time and
proportion. Medicine adherence is a serious problem because it may affect the total well-being of
the patient, delaying the curing time and also raising the total medicine cost of the patient.

1.2 Objectives of our project

To remind patients about taking their prescribed medicines or pills within the
stipulated time as prescribed by a doctor and to support the physician monitor his
patient in taking their prescribed from his own end.

To design a medicine reminder that could use an alarm ringing system in

making the remembrance in order to make patients stay healthy and fit.

REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

2.1. Introduction to System Analysis

A system is an orderly group of interdependent components linked together according to a
plan to achieve specific objectives. Its main characteristics are organization, interaction,
interdependence, integration and central objectives.
Analysis is a detailed study of the various operations by a system and their relationships
within and outside. One aspect of analysis is defining the boundaries of the system and determining
whether or not a candidate system should consider the related systems. During analysis data are
collected on the available files, decision points and transactions handled by the present system.
This involves gathering information and using structured tools for analysis.

2.2. Existing System

Some storage tools is a simple mobile based application which is useful for storing some
data within the mobile using another database and these will also help to store respective data in
clouds and many more options are available in this type of applications.

Notepad is capable of keeping anything in the storage locally, that is also free and available
in any type of operating systems and many org own it and developed it.

2.3 Proposed System

The main objectives of this application:
★ It saves memory space.
★ It saves user time.

★ Users can directly switch from one interface to another interface in a single
application.
And using it may reduce the storage space. And some notepad will not let us to do some
CRUD operations like our Application does and deletion too.

2.4 Feasibility Study

Feasibility is the determination of whether or not a project is worth doing. This type of
study if a project can and should be taken. In the conduct of the feasibility study, the analyst will
usually consider seven distinct, but interrelated types of feasibility. The process followed in
making this determination is called feasibility study.

2.4.1 Technical Feasibility

This is considered with specifying equipment and software that will successful satisfy the
user requirement the technical needs of the system may vary considerably but might include
★ The facility to produce output in a given time.
★ Response time under certain conditions.

★ Ability to process a certain column of transaction at a particular speed.

2.4.2. Economic Feasibility

Economic analysis is the most frequently used technique evaluating the effectiveness of a
proposed system. More commonly known as cost or benefit analysis. The procedure is to determine
the benefits and savings expected from a proposed system and compare them with costs.It benefits
out of the way costs; a decision is taken to design and implement the system will have to be made
if it is to have a chance of being approved. There is an ongoing effort that improves inaccuracy at
each phase of the system life cycle.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS

3.1. Introduction
One of the important activities in software development is the preparation of software
requirement specification. Since the problems in the modern world are becoming more and more
complex, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for the developers to comprehend the problems fully
and work exactly according to the predicted goal all through the work. Hence the need for a more
rigorous requirement analysis is required. In the present time analysis phase is considered to be
most critical and difficult.

3.2. Purpose
The aim of the software requirement specification document is to list out the user
requirement in an organized manner. It defines all the constraints and software requirements
needed to understand this application and documentation. It also has to give an overall design plan.
The user should be in a position to incorporate some changes if required. Further be used as the
theme of software development.

3.3. Scope
Software requirement specification is the only written document that describes the
requirements of the system. It is meant for the use by the developers and will be the basis for
validating the final delivered system. Any changes made to the requirement in the future will have
to go through a formal change approval process. The developer is responsible for clarifications,
wherever necessary and will not make any alternatives without the permission of the client. It
allows the user to analyze the future enhancement in the system.

3.4. Functional Requirements

The name functional requirements specify the statements of services that the system should
provide and it performs. It shows how the system should react to particular inputs and behave in
particular situations. The functionality of a software system thus defines the ‘Functional
Requirements’.

3.5. Non – Functional Requirements

These are constraints on the services or functions offered by the system. They include
timing constraints, constraints on the development process and standards. Non-functional
requirements often apply to the system as a whole. They do not usually just apply individual system
features or services.

The types of non-functional requirements are:

★ Maintainability: Maintainability is the case with which a program/specification can be

corrected if an error occurs desires a change in requirements. Specify attributes of software that
relate case of maintenance to software itself.
★ Performance: Perform specification plays an important part in the analysis of the system. Only
when the requirement specifications are properly given, it is possible to design a system, which
will fit into required environments, is measured in terms of output provided by the application.

3.6. Organizational Requirements

These requirements are derived from politics and procedures in the customers and
developers organization. Examples include process standards that must be used, implantation
requirements such as the programming language or design method used, and delivery requirements
that specify when the product and its documentation are to be delivered.

3.7. Software Requirements

The software requirements specification is produced at the culmination of the analysis task.
The function and performance allocated to software as part of system engineering are refined by
establishing a complete information description as functional representation, a representation of
system behavior, an indication of performance requirements and design constraints, and
appropriate criteria.

★ Android Studio

3.7.1. Android Studio

Android Studio is the official integrated development environment for Google’s Android
operating system, built on Jet Brains’ IntelliJ IDEA software and designed specifically for Android
development.

3.8. Hardware Requirements

★ Android version 5 or higher

★ 2GB or higher RAM

★ Notification turned on

The standard output device can be computer, laptop or mobile. The keyboard, the main
input function, should be functional. Apart from these hardware requirements, there should be
minimum hard disk space and primary memory available for proper working of the protocol.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

★ Head over to the https://developer.android.com/studio website and click on the download

button.

To install Android Studio on Windows, proceed as follows

1. If you downloaded an .exe file (recommended), double-click to launch it.

If you downloaded a .zip file, unpack the ZIP, copy the android-studio folder into your
Program Files folder, and then open the android-studio > bin folder and launch
studio64.exe (for 64-bit machines) or studio.exe (for 32-bit machines).
2. Follow the setup wizard in the Android Studio link as mentioned above and install any
SDK packages that it recommends. To start a new project click the software icon in the
desktop and create the project by selecting the options you need.

SYSTEM DESIGN

5.1. Introduction
Once the SRS is complete, the design phase can be started. Requirement specification
activity is in the problem domain, which is in the first step in moving from the problem to solution
domain. The goal of the software design is to produce a model of representation of the system that
can be used to build that system. The produced model is called the design of the system.

5.2. System Architecture

Figure 5.2.1 shows the system architecture of the medicine reminder, where it shows the
functionalities connected for the performance.

The above figure shows the systematic approach of our project where a single user can do
all of these operations well. As we can see that all the fields can be manually altered but
individually name of medicine, time of the medicine, days of the medicine can be altered that is
we can insert, delete and update those in the database of our mobile device with the help of
notifications after all the altering we can view the details of the medicine

IMPLEMENTATION

The mobile application comes in one of the most widely and used mobile
platforms. This application is basically a medication or pill reminder, the
application makes a reminder to patient about his routinely administered drug, the
application works by making a booze or an alarm on the smartphone till the patient
makes an acknowledgement. The application helps to keep medication intake on
track and on time with an excellent medication intake reminder.

The icon of the application depicted as “MediSafe Pill Reminder Application”, which is shown
in the above figure is an illustration of a mobile home screen which consists of the Medicine
Reminder application among other applications.

We show here the added list of medicines for reminder. We can add any number of
medicines for reminder with name, day and time.

Here alarm has been set for different medicines. Once the alarm is set user receives
notification at the set time where user can activate or deactivate it accordingly.

User gets notification for taking the particular medicine at particular time set. Here we show

We can even add the dates to set dates for reminder. Example we can set the reminder for
everyday or select set of dates.

This is the medicine adding part. Medicine name, medicine days and reminder for the
particular medicine has been set.

CONCLUSION

Patient finds it very difficult to keep track of their medication especially if it

involves intake of pills on daily basis due to several reasons such a s heavy workload,
forgetfulness and alterations in day-to-day behavior can also have the significant
result on whether patients remember to take their prescribed medication for this
reason the project is aimed at designing and developing a mobile based application
which runs on the second most popular mobile platform which is iOS that will assist
in keeping track of patient prescribed medication of pills. The iOS based medical
reminder application allows its users to create a medication profile and also assign
time to the profile, the created medication profile will reminds the patient on their
medication intake. The program allows the creation of a loss of medication profile
with different time frame attached to each profile. However,the medication profile
can be edited or deleted as required by the patient.

The medication reminder application can impact positively on life of a patient

as it will help the patient in keeping track of their daily intake of pills as remembering
the intake of the prescribed medication can be a matter of life and death.
