Preface
First of all, we thank you for using-- Auto. Shrinkable label inserting Machine.
In order to keep each function of this machine run well and the operations to
this machine correctly and safely, please read this manual carefully in
advance.

Most parts of this machine made of aluminum alloy positive polarization and
SUS 304 stainless steel, making the machine stronger and durable.

Moreover, the function of this machine is designed as module and human


interface for each adjustment be easier and simplifying the changed of
different label styles. The development of this machine is based on the whole
new rational design concept. So it not only reduces the adjustments of the
mechanism, but also increases the accuracy of the label cutting and the
producing speed. The following are the explanation methods and each
function of this machine.

1. Preparation before operation

2-1 Installation:
2-1-1 Install the main set, conveyor and shrinking stove in one line. The
center-line of conveyer should be set at the center-line of
cutting section on the main set. And the pattern surface should
be horizontal.
2-1-2 The base-bolts of the main set should be adjusted to support the
machine, they should not be suspended in the air.
2-1-3 Make sure the voltage of the source of electricity is correct, such
as 3Ø 220V 60 Hz
2-1-4 There should be enough space to place the main set, for
maintenance works convenient in the future. The surrounding
temperature should not be over 45℃, avoiding some parts be
broken down,
2-1-5 The main set should be dept away from the wind blowing directly
from the fan or the air-conditioner, because the wind may affect
the insertion of label.

2-2 Cleaning
2-2-1 Get rid of the dust and the oil that caused during delivery and
installation,

2-2-2 Wipe the sliding surface of guide bar, guide rail, thread bar, gear
sliding seat with clean cloth, and lubricate them again. And
please make sure that never lubricate the following parts, belt
wheels, belts, rubber wheels and motors.

3-2 How does each section works:

3-2-1 Cutting section: There are blades and Synchronization gear steel body
in this section. And this section cuts the thermo shrinkable tubular label in the
predetermined length.

3-2-2 Machine table: To use for holding base machine and fixing the
conveyor.

3-2-3 Shrinking stove using the electric heat to shrink the label laid on each
roll, and to stick the label on the container evenly.

3-2-4 Driving section: This section which is controlled by one set of


synchromesh servo motor drives the thermoshrinkable tubular label in
predetermined length.

3-2-5 Separating container section: The containers are sent in predetermined


distance by screw to make sure the containers being separated on the same
distance for putting the tubular label on the container in proper position.

3-2-6 Container fixing section: By using two sides synchromesh movement,


only one wheel each for adjusting the height and tightness, to make sure the
containers will not revolve or shake during conveying and to set the proper
height of label on the container.

3-2-7 Preshrinking stove: Making part of the label preshrink to be fixed on the
container, for avoiding the label sliding down or being bias.

3-2-8 Insertion guide: Let the thermo shrinkable tubular label web be fed on
the insertion guide and get ready to be sent and be cut in predetermined
length.

3-2-9 Photo sensor section: Send singles to the control system for conveying
the label in proper length. Adjusting the place of photo sensor to make sure
the cutting position of the blades is correct.

3-2-10 Brush section: To path the thermo shrinkable tubular label to the
predetermined place on the container by suing the strings or rubber band.

3-2-11 Laying section: Using synchromesh adjustment to adjust two sets of

laying wheels to touch the bottom of the insertion guide lightly. These wheels
rotate more quickly to lay the label on the container when the label pass
them.

3-2-12 Label web holder: The length of label web could be set as 5 inches or
10 inches. And one set of conveying wheels controlled by gear motor conveys
the label.

3-2-13 Conveyer section: Using the inverter to adjust the speed of convey
belt, then the operator can easily control the different production quantity.
Moreover, separation container section, container fixing section, and this
conveyer section can be adjusted in the same time, just by one button. It
really simples the adjustment of the production speed and brings more
convenience.

3-2-14 Photo sensor of the container’s fixer: This photo sensor will send a
message to lay the label on the container, when the container is on the proper
position.

3-2-15 Feeding roller: When the machine is normal, the green light will be on.
When there is no label, the yellow light will flash. When the machine is
abnormal, the red light will flash. And there will be a warning sound going with
the red light and the yellow light.

3-2-16 Interface control panel: This machine adopts vacuum aspiration label
system and delivery the label more stable.

3-2-17 Alarm light: This is the control center of this machine. This control
center includes following pages: Manual movement, Setting, Oversee,
Breakdown explanation. Besides these, the control center also includes some
turning buttons and push buttons for controlling the laying label operation.

4. Installing the PVC Shrink Label:

4-1 Picture for installation of label

4-1-1 Shown as picture 4-1, put the label web on the label web holder, then
equip the press plate and press it to screw on the holder screws tightly.

4-1-2 Convey the label on the direction shown as this picture, and turn the
rotating wheels to right to open them for the label can passing them easily.

4-1-3 Passing the label through the wheels as the picture showing and then
the label will cover on the top of the insertion guide.

4-1-4 Before lay the label on the insertion guide body, please open the upper
wheels of the insertion guide, and then lift the bottom of the insertion guide by
your left hand to let the main wheels to break away from the guide body a
little. Then pull the label through the cutting blades place by your right hand,
at last pull the insertion guide to the normal place with your left hand.

4-1-5 After the insertion guide is back to the normal place, put the upper
wheels to the normal place, too. And just let them touch the insertion guide
lightly. And now the job of installation label is completed.

4-2 Test: (Please refer chapter Eight: Exposition of fuzzy control panel)

4-2-1 First of all, get into the Manual movement page, and then touch
“feeding” of “Feeder motor” and touch “cutting” of “cutting blade” for testing
the cutting situation at least two or three times. Cut the abnormal label away.
Be careful that you have to touch “cutting” of “cutting blade” before you want
to get into the Automatic movement page.

4-2-2 Enter “Automatic movement” page, and touch “article feeder screw”
then this machine is ready for production. But the machine can’t start to
produce until the digit of speed is stable.

5. Photo sensor section:

5-2 Adjusting to the wrong position of label

5-2-1 Adjusting the location of the photo sensor holder upper or lower to get
the proper location.

5-2-2 If the top of label is too long, move the photo sensor holder to the upper
location.

5-2-3 If the bottom of label is too long, move the photo sensor holder to the
lower location.

5-3 Setting up the sensibility of the photo sensor

5-3-1 Different standards of color, depth and light of color may still exist,
although our engineers have set up the sensibility of photo sensor while
installing the machine. But when you change to different kind of label, the
sensibility of the photo sensor may be too high or too low, the it’ll cause the
abnormal situation of the label being laid. If the sensibility is too high, it will
cause the length of the label being too short. If the sensibility is too low, it will
cause the length of label being too long. If you have situations above, you
should adjust the sensibility of photo sensor to get the proper position of the
label.

5-3-2 When you adjust the sensibility of the photo sensor, please pull the
label near the photo sensor. And make sure the photo sensor aims at the
transparent part of the label, and then check if the green light of the photo
sensor is OFF. If you move the label up and down, but the green light still is
ON when the photo sensor aims at the transparent part, then you should
adjust the sensibility button till the green light is off and the red light is ON.

5-3-3 Adjust till the red and green lights be on in principle. As some printing
part of label can let the light pass through easily, that will cause the photo
sensor getting a wrong message and making the label be laid abnormally. At
this time, if the green light is not on, then you should adjust the sensibility
button till the green light is ON.

5-3-4 Please repeat the above steps to get the proper sensibility of photo
sensor.

6. Adjustment for laying label on the container and the sensibility of the
container’s space fixer.

6-1 Laying label on the container

6-1-1 When a container on the conveyer passes the photo sensor, the driving
section will drive a label down, and the laying section will lay this label on the
container. At this time, if the above photo sensor isn’t on the proper position,
the label won’t be put on the container smoothly.

6-2 Picture for the direction of adjusting photo sensor.

6-2-1 Please refer picture 6-2, if the label laid to the container is the same as
“A”. Please move the photo sensor from “A” to “B”; if the label laid to the
container is the same as “C”, please move the photo sensor from “C” to “B”.
Adjust the photo sensor till the situation is the same as container “B”.

6-3 Description for adjusting the sensibility of the container’s space fixer:
6-3-1The photo sensor of this container’s space fixer contains the main
body and the reflective mirror. The main body is located on the rail, and it can
be moved, but the reflective mirror is fixed under the cutting section. The
main body casts the light on the reflective mirror, and then the light reflects

from the reflective mirror to the main body, and there will be a single to notify
the laying section if it should lay a label down.

6-3-2 When there isn’t any container between the main body and the
reflective mirror, the light on the main body should be “ON”. If the light is
“OFF” at this time, please adjust the sensibility button by using a small screw
driver, till the light be “ON”.

6-3-3 When there is a container between the main body and the reflective
mirror, the light casts by the main body is blocked by the container, the light
on the main body should be “OFF”. If the light is “ON” at this time, it means
the light cast by the main body.

6-3-4 Please repeat the above steps to make sure the sensor works correctly.

6-3-5 When there isn’t any container between the main body and the
reflective mirror, but there still be no light reflected from the reflective mirror,
the unusual light will be “ON” at this moment. Check whether there is strange
stuff between the main reflective mirror before running the machine
automatically.

7. Changing blades and adjusting of the cutting section

7-1 The plane of cutting section

7-3 When you change the blades, please pay attention the length of the old
blades. And before you install the new blades, you have to make sure the
length of new blades it he same as the old news Otherwise, the label may not
be cut correctly, and label can’t be laid on the container.

7-4 When you install the blades, please make sure the following parts (1)
whether the blades are installed in the grooves (2) whether the blades and
their pointed end won’t be hurt when you break the blades after you’ve
decided the length of new blades.

7-5 Be careful not be hurt by the blades when change the blades. Keep your
hands away while using tools to change the blades. And before you screw on
or off the screws of press plate, your left hand have to pull the timing belt
tightly. Be sure the press plate being installed in a proper tightness,
otherwise, its shape will be changed.

7-6 If the angle of blade is abnormal or found unusual sound, please notify
our company to inspect and repair it.

8. The manual of automatic shrinkable label inserting machine

8-1 Exposition of the operation on the screen of the panel.
The main way to operate this machine is to touch the screen on the panel
(shown as the following picture), in addition to this screen, there are several
assistant switches under screen. All of the operation situation, indication and
alarm information of this machine’s functions can be found on the screen. So
it’s easy to operate the machine and to understand the situation which shown
on the screen.

8-1-1 Instructions: The every squire representative one button, when you
touch on the words instruction on button, then button will become dark as well
as beeps sound. That means the button get messages, when the gate will
change page according to your choosing function or execute a command.

8-1-2 The functions are as the table:

8-2 Manual

When you touch the double frame button of “Manual” on the main function
chart, you’ll enter “Manual” page. The main function of

Manual------is to test if the individual function of this machine’s production


procedure is normal or not.

Five actions buttons are on the first page. (Shown as follows)

Infeed------When you touch the button, the label web will move to feed label
on a predetermined length or a length depending on the printing division. The
warning information will be shown on the bottom of the screen if the length of
label is too long.

Cutter------When you touch this button, the cutting blade will move to cut the
fed label.

Infeed screw------When you keep pressing this button, the separating article
screw (in front of the conveyer) will continue moving on the selected speed
shown on the speed button of conveyer (RPM).

Machine Stage------According to the labeling article’s height (container’s


height), to rise or descend the Machine Stage to proper height. But the
machine stage will stop moving when the height is over the up limit or below
limit.

8-3 Auto Mode
When you touch “Auto Mode” button on the main function selecting chart or
Manual page, you can enter auto and this is the common procedure that
factory usually takes.

On the right is “Bottle—feed” button. It will be turn to black when you touch
it, then the separating article screw start to move the articles (containers) will
be fed on the distance separated by the article feeder screw, and label will be
also put on the predetermined place of the article, then thermal shrinkage the
label to be the best situation, the step is output finished article.

On the bottom are four double frame buttons, three of them are function
exchange buttons:

“Manual”---you can enter the “Manual” page by it.

“Examine”---you can enter the “Examine of PLC” page by it.

“Main”---you can enter the “Main chart” by it. And the fourth button is

“Remove”. You can clean the alarm information on the screen by this.

8-4 Examine

All the production procedure and movements of this machine are controlled
by a PLC type FPX-C60T which is made by Panasonic Company. And this
page is to oversee all the ON, OFF situation of input and output spots of the
PLC. You can change the page to oversee the situation immediately, no
matter which page you are, such as “Manual” or “Auto”. If you want to return
the original page you are in, just press “Back” button.

8-5 Parameter Setting (PASSWORD:2008)

8-5-1 Volume of Product---It shows the present accumulative quantity of
production. You can touch the “Remove” button on the right of the screen at
any time, to let the accumulative quantity of production back to zero for a new
calculating record.

8-5-2 Label Length Setting ---There are two ways to control the label length
for cutting.

8-5-2-1 Printed Market---The cutting blade will cut the label on the interval of

two connective prints that are printed on a predetermined length or cut the
label on the preprinted marks.

8-5-2-2 Customer Set---You can key the length you need just by “Customer
Set” button. (The unit is “mm”) (Note: the length the machine can accept is
shown on the top of key board screen. For example: Down limit=50, Up
limit=150) this machine will change to the way selected by the user to cut the
label right after the user makes sure the cutting way and length.

8-6 Assistance Switch----Located at the bottom of the page, has six custom
control switch. Function description left to right follows as:

8-6-1 Emergency stop: Press to stop all actions when need to do the
maintenance work or emergency situation happens while the machine runs.
Turn right the red button to remove the situation, and the machine will return
to the original positron immediately.

8-6-2 conveyor speed: Use the black button with 40 mm diameter to do the
control. When the indicator points at 0, it means “Stop”. Increase the speed,
just turn it to the right hand direction. “10” represents the fastest speed.

8-6-3 Alarm reset: Long-frame yellow button. Alarm message will be showed
on the screen and alarm system will work when mistakes happen. You can
press “Alarm Reset” or the words “Remove” on the screen twice to remove
the situation.

8-6-4 Heat Shrink Tunnel switch: use to fix the position that the label laid on
the container. It is also the switch of steam shrink tunnel motor. Direction right
is “ON”, the opposite is “OFF”.

8-6-5 Conveyor switch: Product’s conveyor switch. Direction right is “ON”, the
opposite is “OFF”.

8-7 Alarm situation:


The alarm situation of this machine’s control system is combined as following
3 ways: 3 color lights, alarm sound and alarm information on the screen.
Each meanings are described as follows:

8-7-1 3 color light: Red, yellow, green lights are located from top to down on
the back of the electrical control box.

8-7-1-1Red light-It will flash every other second to show the error or danger
situation. Usually, there will be 5 alarm sounds on the same frequency go with
the first 5 flash of the red light. At this situation, the machine will stop working.

8-7-1-2 Yellow light It means waiting when yellow light flashes; Manual
movement; pay attention to. The alarm sound won’t be heard in the above
situations.

8-7-1-3 Green light: If the green light is on, it means this machine is under
Automatic movement situation. If the green light flashes, you can start a
“circulation” function. For example: if you start “test” or “Automatic movement”
these two continual movements, then the green light will continually “on”, but
not flashes.

8-7-2 Alarm sound: It will accompany with the red flashing light on the same
frequency, and it means the error or dangerous situation, too.

8-7-3 Alarm information on the screen: The alarm information will be shown
on the bottom of the screen of every page. Its main function is to show the
dangerous situation and error, then to show the situation you must pay
attention to. And the alarm information will continually passing the bottom of
the screen one by one. If you want to remove the alarm information, just
touch the “Remove alarm” button twice.

When you press “Emergency Stop” button, “Emergency Stop” will be shown
on the left top of screen of each page. And 8 digits of accumulative quantity
will be shown on the right top of screen of each page.

8-8 The original place of cutting blade:


Whenever you touch “Power” button on the screen of “Main function selection
chart”, or after turning the “Emergency Stop” button to remove the emergency
situation, the cutting blade will return to the original place automatically, then
it can cut the label correctly. Therefore, before you loosen the belt to adjust
the cutting blades or turning off the power to change insertion guide, you
must remember the correct angle of cutting blade at the original place, for
cutting the label properly

9. Separating container section, laying section, preshrinking stove to match


the different kind of containers.

9-1 Concerning the above adjustment, please ask your operators to
cooperate with our engineers to practice it carefully during training period
when the machine is delivered.

9-2 Above adjustment please operator follows our company engineer doing
often exercises when delivery machine to you and train to you.

10. Lubrication and maintenance:

10-1 Please lubricate the sliding surface of guide bar, guide rail, and thread
bar, and sliding seat every two weeks, please use CPC heavy duty extra
special sg/cc motor oil R32, or other brands lubricating oil which are the same
grade as VG 32.

10-2 Please lubricate the gears once a week, you can use the normal grease
for mechanism.

10-3 Please use the soft and clean cloth to wipe out the original oil on these
parts before you lubricate them.

10-4 If there are any uncommon things (such as dust, iron chips, water, etc. )
on the sliding surface of guide bar, guide rail, thread bar, sliding seat or gears,
you should clean them immediately, then lubricate them again.

10-5 If there is any rust on other parts be found, you should clean the rust our
and lubricate the parts immediately.

10-6 Please keep the surface of machine table clean, avoid to put anything
irrelevant on the machine table.

10-7 Check the belts on each driving part weekly, to make sure they are not
broken or damaged. And keep the spare belts be ready for necessary.

10-8 Do the maintenance works regularly.

11. Safety-Rules

11-1 Exposition of alarm signs


1. Don’t touch or put hands on the moving parts, while the
machine is running.
2. Don’t put your hands into the moving parts, otherwise, it
may cause serious hurt.
3. Keep away from the heat parts, avoiding getting a burn.
4. Be careful about the electric shock, when this machine
power is on. When you want to do maintenance work,
please remember to check the power is on or off.
5. Maintain and lubricate regularly, for the machine works
normally.

11-2 Other things should be pay attention to:

11-2-1 Be sure to close the door of operating boxes, after you open it and
finish the necessary job.

11-2-2 Make sure the protecting covers of belts and cutter section are locked
properly.

11-2-3 Don’t put any part of your body into the moving parts of this machine,
avoiding being hurt.

11-2-4 Don’t touch any wheels during the machine is running, especially the
wheels beside the inserting guide.

11-2-5 Be careful to keep the spar or dismantled cutting section and insertion
guide from being hit or scratched.

11-2-6 Please don’t charge the hardware and software without permission
from our company, or we won’t take the responsibility to responsibility to
repair the damage.

11-3 Maintenance Works

11-3-1 Confirm the opposite position between the cutter and insertion guide,
and the cutter original place before turn on the machine.

11-3-2 Make sure the position of wheels besides the insertion guide is correct
and whether locked or not before turn on the machine.

11-3-3 Confirm whether brush wheels has the same height as the wheels
center is the bottom of insertion guide and press the wheels slightly.

11-3-4 Confirm whether there is anything on the conveyor.

11-3-5 Confirm the label web on the holder passes through the feeder
smoothly. Second, its position and whether the shape of label web is changed
or damaged.

11-3-6 Confirm the center of shrink label web is the same as the one of
insertion guide. If not, you should adjust the position of feeder wheels.

11-3-7 Check the position and height of blades on the main body, whether be
able to work or not.

11-3-8 Confirm the position of fixing belts on the bottle carrying system. The
pressure to carry the bottles should not be too tight.

11-3-9 Confirm the rotating belts on heat shrink tunnel, its pressure to carry
the bottle should be too tightly, either.

11-3-10 Confirm the center of conveying bottle in bottle carrying system is


right on center of bottom.

11-3-11 Confirm the speed of container fixing section whether be able to


coordinated with the speed of conveying belts.

11-3-12 Confirm the position of photo sensor of container’s space fixer is


correct or not. Please test whether the label be able to lay on the container or
not before starting production.

11-3-13 Please confirm whether the safety devices can the machine work or

not.

11-3-14 Turn off the electric heat switch of shrink tunnel after work. Let the
fan do the freeze work at least ten minutes before turn off the whole system.

11-3-15 Follow the description on Chapter 8 and turn off the main switch.

12. Electric inspection Standard:

12-1 Appendix—Picture show the circuit of this machine for maintenance.

12-2 Item to be paid attention:

12-2-1 The circuit picture mentioned in 12-1 is just used for regular
maintenance.

12-2-2 The circuit picture mentioned in 12-1 is just used for maintenance.
Please don’t change any circuit nor read any inside programs, otherwise our
company will not take responsibility to repair the damage caused.

12-2-3 If you have change the hard ware and software of this for the
necessity of production, please notify our engineering department to provide
the related assistance.
