pattern will show up on the stencil the
way you want befor the next step.

You can also lightly trace on

the front of the paper, then
gently erase the pencil lines
after you cut it out.

4 Now follow the pencil lines to cut

the shape out more precisely

3 Roughly cut around the pencil shape

trim them off later
STAY SHARPHere are some tips for getting a
pitchure-perfect look with scissors.

1 Don‛t use the tips of your scissors to cut. The part of the
Scissor blade closer to the handel is the best for cutting.

2 It‛s always better to cut a shape that‛s too big rather than too
small. You can trim away extra paper, but once you‛ve cut, you
can‛t get it back!

3 When you‛re cutting curves and edges, try turning the paper
rather than the scissors.

4 To cut narrow pieces, first cut up one side and then cut up the
other side. Make your cuts meet at the tightest point so the
piece can be popped out cleanly.

5 If you slip while cutting, don‛t panic! Some of the newest

trends happen by accident.
