Power Distribution Unit

PDU-PA100
Introduction
The PDU-PA100 provides 5-channel 220 V (100 V in certain scenarios) AC output for such devices as the router
and CHU in the cabinet. It also provides protection against overload, short-circuit, and Level C surge. Moreover, it
meets the power distribution demand that the total back end power of the AC equipment does not exceed 7 kW. The
PDU-PA100 also provides surge protection device alarms in the dry contact and panel.

Divider Unit
Introduction
The divider unit (DIU) assigns the received signal to the respective CHUs. The received signal is first amplified by
a low noise amplifier (LNA), then subjected to level regulation by a digital attenuator, and finally divided into
multiple paths by a power divider and supplied to the respective CHUs.

The DIU used for DS-6211 includes 4-way DIU (with filter), 4-way DIU (without filter), and 8-way DIU.

The schematic diagram of DIU is shown below.

Duplexer Unit
Introduction
The duplexer unit (DPU) allows bi-directional (duplex) communication over a single path. It isolates the receiver
from the transmitter while permitting them to share a common antenna. The schematic diagram of DPU is shown

Combiner
Introduction
The combiner (COM) is divided into the hybrid combiner, manually-tuned combiner, and auto-tuned combiner.

The combiners described here are for reference only.

The COM combines the outputs from the BS for transmission via a single antenna. The connection between COM
(e.g., quad-channel COM) and other units is shown in the following figure.

Hardware Description Antenna Feed System

4. Antenna Feed System

The antenna feed system consists of the antenna, feed line, jumper, and lightning arrester. It serves as the channel
to transmit the modulated RF signal and receives the signal from the mobile station.

Antenna
The TX antenna and RX antenna work differently. The TX antenna directly radiates the power signals as
electromagnetic waves, while the RX antenna converts the received electromagnetic waves to the current signals
and sends them to the CHU for demodulation. The system communication coverage is subject to the quality of the
antenna. In general, the omni-directional antenna (gain > 8 dB) is preferred.

Feed Line
The feed line is the RF coaxial cable that connects the antenna to the RF distribution device, to transfer the carrier
signal.

Jumper
The jumper is the cable connected between the 7/8" cable and the antenna connector.
