CONNECTIONS
It is the action of linking or connecting
one person or thing to another. It is a
relationship between two things,
people, or groups.
TEXT TO TEXT
It is a connection between a text and another text.For example, you're
reading a book and you realized that the plot or the happenings in the
story is the same as the story of the book you've read before.
Example:

This story is somehow similar to
the one I've read before.
The plot reminds me of the book
that I have.
The character in this book is similar
to Cinderella.
TEXT TO SELF
A connection where students are reminded of personal experiences
reading a book or passage. An event, character or feeling in the book prompted
the student to recall something similar in their own lives.

TEXT TO WORLD
Text-to-World connections involve linking the text to an event or
phenomena that happen in the larger world. This is the most difficult
of the three types of connections, especially for younger students
whose schema is often limited to their own life and experiences.

Jose Rizal's "Noli Me Tangere" is somehow
similar to what's happening to our country.
