1. Determine the value of the Range (R)
Example: The daily allowances of 10 students are 200,150, 100, 120, 150,200, 180,
150,100, 200.
Measures of Central Tendency
Median
- It is the midpoint of the data array.
- It is denoted by .
Properties of Median
1. There is only one median for any given data set.
2. It is obtained when data are put in a data array.
3. It is not affected by extreme values.
4. It can be applied for ordinal, interval and ratio.
5. It is appropriate for skewed data
