4.3 Configuration of PON Port
Brief Introduction
When the ONU is online, it needs to configure the authentication mode of the PON port to the ONU,
including automatic authentication, MAC authentication, SN authentication, SN password authentication
and mixed authentication. The default mode is the automatic authentication. The online ONU will conduct
the white list matching according to the authentication mode of the PON port; the non-matching white
list will be automatically authenticated, i.e., automatically becoming online.
The ONU authentication management function will be configured with the ONU authentication mode
of PON port. The specific authentication rules of authentication mode can be configured after the
authentication mode is configured. After modifying the ONU authentication mode, all the rules of the
original authentication mode will be deleted, at the same time, the on- line ONU in the original
24
authentication mode will totally be offline, and then they will try again in the new authentication mode in
accordance with the rules of the new authentication mode. In the ONU authentication management
function, it can also check the ONU with authentication failed.
Step 1 open the “GPON Basic Config” in the Navigation bar of “GPON” function. Select the port to
be configured.
Step 2 Switch the ONU authentication mode under the PON port;Click the drop-down box of the
PON authentication mode, choose the MAC authentication mode, and select "Yes" in the pop-up switching
authentication mode confirmation to switch to the MAC authentication modeconfiguration;
Step 3 Configure the auto- discovery function enable or disable, FEC mode (enable/disable)

Chapter 5 ONU Configuration
Brief Introduction
The DBA profile describes the GPON traffic parameters, and you can specify the fixed bandwidth, the
guaranteed bandwidth and the maximum bandwidth with this profile. Bind the DBA profile so that the
bandwidth can be dynamically allocated, which will improve the upstream bandwidth utilization. By
default, the system contains a total of ten default DBA profiles, numbered 1~10. Default DBA profiles cannot
be deleted or modified. The DBA cannot be deleted or modified once it is bound to a T-cont.
You can bind the DBA profile to the T-CONT of the line profile.
The following example uses an OLT with the IP of 192.168.0.189 to illustrate the specific procedures to
configure a DBA profile with the ID of 11.
Step 1 Go to the device web page at 192.168.0.189.Click the “DBA Profile“to enter the DBA profile list
page in the “onu config”view .

5.2 Line Profile Configuration
Brief Introduction
Line profiles are mainly used to configure information related to T-CONT, GEM, and GEM mapping.
An OLT device can have up to 1,024 line profiles, where line profile 1 is the default line profile for the
system and cannot be modified or deleted.
Each line profile can create up to 7 T-CONTs, and each T-CONT can be associated with a DBA profile.
Each line profile can create up to 64 GEMs, and each GEM needs to be associated with only one T-
CONT.
Each GEM can create up to 8 GEM mappings.
The following example uses an OLT with IP 192.168.0.189 to illustrate the specific procedures to
configure a line profile with ID 12.
Step 1 Go to the device web page at 192.168.0.189.Click the “Line Profile“to enter the Line profile list

Brief Introduction
Service profiles are mainly used to manage ONU related configuration information, such as the ONU
port status, ONU VLAN, ONU MAC address restrictions, ONU MAC address aging time, and ONU UNI
interface configuration. ONU service-related attributes are integrated in the service profile for
configuration purposes. When working on the ONUs for the same service, it only needs to be configured
47
once, which reduces the configuration workload.
An OLT device can have up to 1,024 service profiles, of which service profiles with number 1~10 are
default system service profiles that cannot be modified or deleted. Once the service profile is bound to the
ONU, it cannot be deleted or modified.
The following example uses an OLT with IP 192.168.0.189 to illustrate the specific procedures to
configure the service profile 66.
Step 1 Go to the device web page at 192.168.0.189.Click the “Service Profile“to enter the Line

Chapter 7 L3 Configuration
Overview
Static ARP entries are manually configured and maintained. They cannot be aged and
overridden by dynamic ARP entries. Therefore, static ARP entries improve communication security.
Static ARP entries ensure communication between the local device and a specified device by using a
specified MAC address so that attackers cannot modify mappings between IP addresses and MAC
addresses in static ARP entries
Step 1 Click "ARP Mgr" In the navigation bar of “L3 Config”function to query the arp address table .

Routing protocols are the rules used by routers to discover routes, generate and maintain routing
tables, and guide packet forwarding. Routes are classified into the following types based on the
origin:
Static routes are easy to configure, have low requirements on the system, and apply to simple, stable,
and small networks. The disadvantage of static routes is that they cannot automatically adapt to network
topology changes. Therefore, static routes require subsequent maintenance
Step 1 Click "Route Config" In the navigation bar of “L3 Config”function to Query route table。
