Clarisse reflects on how her difficult past has shaped her identity and behavior. When she was 10 years old, her mother left her family and did not return, leaving Clarisse and her 15-year-old sister to fend for themselves while their father worked in another city. This traumatic childhood experience forced Clarisse to mature quickly and become independent at a young age. Though her childhood was stolen from her, Clarisse believes that enduring such hardships has made her stronger and prepared her for greater challenges. She has come to accept that her past cannot be changed and has instead focused on pursuing her dreams and becoming the best version of herself for the future.

NAME: CLARISSE F. TADEO COURSE/YEAR/SECTION: BSME-3A
SCORE: DIRECTION: Pause for a few minutes and think about or reflect on your past. Has your past influenced you in one way or another? How does your past shape your identity and behaviour? Discuss briefly; write your answer on the space provided. SELF- REFLECTION For 21 years of living I’ve experienced a lot, where I encounter different types of problems and hindrances in life. My past made who I am today, I grow and become a good person where I become better step by step. My life is not easy, it is not the typical story that when you’re young you grow with your parents guiding you as you go older. My nightmare starts when I was 10 years old when my mom needs to left us for some serious matter. That was the day that I never imagined that it will happen, our life before that is simple and happy I was contented we’re not rich but at least we eat 3 times a day. But my mother is not contented for what we have, she wants more she wants to give us more than that. That was the time when she decided to leave us at first we thought it just like a vacation to their home town but time passes 1 month, 6 months, 1 year and so on she did not come back. In the first 2 years our life is so miserable I was just 10 years old that time and no one will guide us except to our sister who is 15 years old that time. That time my father is in Tarlac working so we have no choice but to become matured right away we need to become independent. We need to learn about life in that young age where we are very innocent, we don’t know what real life is. We we’re like a stray cat that doesn't know where to go or what to do. That was the time that I know my childhood experience was stolen from me but I have no choice we need to survive this kind of situation and move forward. I know that our parents are proud of us because we overcome it we survive without them guiding us. We become a better version of ourselves right now, having dreams to pursue even life is so hard to us. But I have a lot of chances to change my fate to make it to what I expect. I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason this happened to us to become stronger and to prepare us in a bigger problems because life is not easy it’s like a gamble that you don’t know what would happen next. All you have to do is believe in yourself and have faith to our Lord God. If I have a chance to change my past I wouldn’t do it because my past made me who I am today. I know life is not easy we just need to stand firm and don’t give up in any challenges that you encounter. I’m Clarisse f. Tadeo and hoping for the best version of myself in the near future.
