8. INTERTEK ITALIA S.p.A., Notified Body n° 2575 in accordance with article 17 of the Directive 2014/34/EU of the European
Parliament and Council of the 26 February 2014, certifies that the equipment or protective system has been found to
comply with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements relating to the design and construction of equipment and
protective system intended for use in potentially explosive atmosphere, given in Annex II of the Directive.
The examination and tests results are recorded in confidential technical evaluation Intertek Report Nr. 105226025CHE-001
dated 11th October 2022.
9. Compliance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements has been assured by compliance with EN IEC 60079-
0:2018, EN IEC 60079-7:2015+A1:2018, EN ISO 80079-36:2016, EN ISO 80079-37:2016 and EN 14986:2017 except in
respect of those requirements referred to at item 16 of the Schedule.
10. If the sign X is placed after the certificate number, it indicates that the product is subject to Specific Conditions of Use
specified in the schedule to this certificate.
11. This EU-Type Examination Certificate relates only to the design and construction of the specified product. Further
requirements of the Directive apply to the manufacturing process and supply of this product. These are not covered by
this certificate.

This certificate has been issued by Intertek Italia S.p.A. NB 2575 on transfer from
Intertek Testing & Certification Ltd. (NB 0359) using the same issued original
certificate number.
This Certificate is for the exclusive use of Intertek's client and is provided pursuant to the agreement between Intertek and its Client. Intertek's
responsibility and liability are limited to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Intertek assumes no liability to any party, other than to the Client in
accordance with the agreement, for any loss, expense or damage occasioned by the use of this Certificate. Only the Client is authorized to permit copying

13. DESCRIPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT OR PROTECTIVE SYSTEM
The SA Cyclone Ex Air Mover is a ventilating fan consisting of a non-metallic body with a nominal internal
diameter of 350mm which houses the impeller and motor (EPT 17 ATEX 2588X), and also an electrical enclosure
(SIRA99ATEX3172U, PTB08ATEX1062U), which contains the control switch and actuator (CML13ATEX3010U,
PTB01ATEX1129U, PTB99ATEX1043U, CML17ATEX1105U, PTB00ATEX111U, BVS13ATEXE107U) and a metallic
cover. Both the impeller and body have low surface resistivity.
The SA Cyclone Ex Air Mover is electrically rated 0.45kW @50Hz and 0.75kW @60Hz and either 110VAC or
230VAC. The equipment has a balance grade of BV-3 and is designed to operate in an ambient temperature
range of -40°C to +55°C.
The power supply cable is supplied wired into terminals (PTB11ATEX1041U, PTB03ATEX1162U or
PTB05ATEX1095U) within the junction box, via glands (KEMA99ATEX6971X, SEV15ATEX0152X, BVS20ATEXE096
or KEMA99ATEX6971X), the cable is fitted with a suitably certified Ex e/Ex d minimum IIB+H2 T4 Gb connection
plug.
There is a stainless steel earth strip, internal to the fan body, which connects both finger guards to the motor
stand to ensure all metallics are sufficiently earthed.
CE Marking shall be accompanied by the identification number of the Notified Body responsible for surveillance
of production.

The relevant Essential Health and Safety Requirements have been identified and assessed in Intertek Report Nr.
105226025CHE-001 dated 11th October 2022.
17. ROUTINE (FACTORY) TESTS
Each SA Cyclone Ex Air Mover shall be subjected to a dielectric strength test of 1000V + 2U (2*Rated Voltage
r.m.s) applied between live/neutral to external earth connection for a period of at least 60s.
Alternatively, a test shall be carried out at 1.2x the test voltage, maintained for at least 100ms.
Results must be recorded.
18. DETAIL OF CERTIFICATE CHANGES
R.0 (16th February 2022):

• Initial release by Intertek Italia S.p.A. NB 2575 based on the assessment performed in February 2022 and
on the certificate legal ownership transferred from Intertek Testing & Certification Ltd. (NB 0359); the
same issued original certificate number is used.
