1. Human rights have been defined in several forms. As a student of criminology,
how will you define human rights?

Answer: In my point of view, Human Rights are a PRIVILEDGE because these

rights can be restricted by the authorities when someone commits a crime. Just like a
license, it’s privileged to a driver when someone violates the law his/her license will be
revoked by the officer. We have rights since we are born these rights are for a lifetime
unless we commit a crime because the right to live and be free can be acquired by the
authority for years or for life this is for the punishment we have done.

2. , founder of Amnesty International said that "The candle burns not for us, but for
all those whom we failed to rescue from prison, who was shot on the way to
prison, who were tortured, who were kidnapped, who 'disappeared'. That's what
the candle is for."
Relate this to the current judicial system in the country.

Answer:

In my opinion, this quote is about JUSTICE, he says that the candle is for the people
who were lost, tortured, and died without a fight and without justice. I relate these
quotes to our justice system. Many people die and many families suffer because of the
improper process. women who are no longer seen when they are kidnapped, people
who are immediately reported dead by no one to fight against. the problem with this
country is our justice is slow. if you don't have the money, you have no value. I relate
this to all abusive people and people who put other people's lives in their hands.

a weapon of war.

2. Nancy Herz

3. Alexya Salvador

4. Greta Thunberg
Thunberg draws attention to the fact that the climate crisis is a human rights crisis.

5. Michelle Bachelet
A physician by training, she spent her presidencies strengthening the rights of the
country’s most vulnerable, including women and the LGBTQ+ community.

4. Every day, we see on the television, hear on the radio and read in social media
about abuses of different means done to people. Prepare at least three (3)
paragraph essay depicting human rights abuses.
Answer:
Human Rights abuses since I was young, I heard a lot of abuses but not just heard,
watched, or read but I already experience those abuses, Abuse physically, and mentally
by my past partner. I know that we have a law RA 9262: the Anti-Violence Against
Women and their Children but I honestly say that I can’t tell anybody that I am physically
abusing them because at that time I love him so much so even he gives me pain I
endured it just to not get separated, but when he did too much and humiliated me in
front of many people, I realized that it was wrong, so I broke up with him and since then
I just appreciated myself more.

so now when I see someone who experiencing abuse I advise them, I put them in the
right place, I say they should value themselves they have a family and other people to
love them. Husband’s abuse is not just casual, there is also abuse from people who are
not relatives and it is painful for us. just because of poverty the rich are abusing us, if
you or someone experiencing abuse don't be afraid to report and inform our police so
that we solve it and the abusive people are held accountable.
experiencing abuse mentally and physically is not easy, sometimes we hear about
someone we know or someone who committed suicide because they couldn't handle
the emotion and pain because of being abused, it hurts to know that we didn't even do
anything to recover and get them away from that situation. I will advise you all if you see
any people who are experiencing abuse, listen to them and help them, give them
advice, let's not let abusive people get worse. there are many people who have
succeeded with the guide, apart from the fact that we have helped those people, we
have also reduced the number of people who experience abuse.
