10. On the 31st of July, Mr. Jones and his family went to the seaside for their summer holidays.
The weather was not very fine. Because of the cold, they wore their overcoats which they
opened when the sun was shining brightly. They went for having lunch, then they went to the
sea and lay under the sun for two hours. After that, they all went back to the hotel. Mrs. Jones
wrote a letter and postcards, while Mr.jones and the writer played billiards. They saw the
sunset in a bright red sky and went to bed after dinner. They awoke late the next morning, the
writer’s daughter, Betty, wanted to go into the sea again but the wind blew so hard. In the
afternoon the wind stopped. They went to the pier where they heard a very good concert, then
walk along the cliffs. The end of the day was better than the beginning.
