PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMU-CET CAREFULLY

Dear Candidate,

Please read the following important instructions carefully for appearing in the IMU-CET2023:
1. The candidate must bring the E-Admit Card on the day of Computer Based Test to the allotted Test Centre. The
printed E-Admit card must be presented for verification along with at least one ORIGINAL (not photocopy or
scanned copy) valid PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARD viz. Passport, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card,
Driving License, PAN Card etc. The candidate should also affix/paste (do not staple) recent color photograph as
uploaded in online application at the space provided and sign a cross the photograph.
2. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should
match the name on E-Admit Card. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.
3. Candidates will NOT be allowed to enter the Test Centre without valid E-Admit Card and Photo Identification card
as mentioned above.
4. NO REQUEST TO CHANGE THE TEST DATE,TIME,TEST CENTRE and SESSION & VENUE WILL BE CONSIDERED
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

5. Candidate’s candidature for the Computer Based Test is ‘PURELY PROVISIONAL’ pending detailed scrutiny of
eligibility as per Indian Maritime University’s academic brochure. This E-Admit Card is issued based on the

declarations made by the candidate in his/her online application submitted. In case, it is found at any stage of
admission process that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and the declarations made by him/her
or any document/information submitted by him/her are found to be false or he/she has provided any wrong
information, at any point of time, the candidate’s candidature will be cancelled. If such an event happens even
after admissions, his/her admission/candidature may be cancelled.
6. The E-Admit Card is made available on the web site https://www.imu.edu.in for downloading & printing by
the candidates. This E-Admit Card is computer generated and shall not be sent by post.
7. Candidates are quested to reach their allotted Test Centre as per the timing mentioned in the E-
Admit Card (which is 1 hour in advance than the scheduled time of Test) so that entry formalities and
compulsory frisking can be done smoothly. The main gate of Test Centre will be closed half an hour before the
commencement of the test time. No late coming is allowed. Candidates are, therefore, advised to locate their
Test Centre and its accessibility atleast a day before the test so that they can reach the Centre on time on the
day of the test. Indian Maritime University will not be responsible for late coming.
8. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the Test hall during the Computer based Test.
9. Rough Sheet(s) will be provided to candidate for rough work, which will have to be returned to the invigilators
after end of the Test. Candidate should clearly write his/her name and Roll No. On each rough sheet.
10. User ID and password for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided to the candidate 10 minutes before
commencement of the test at their respective seat. The Candidate will be required to enter Login ID and
Password which will be provided at Test Centre to appear for Computer Based Test. Please ensure that
candidate’s name, photograph appearing on the computer screen are correct after login.
11. In order to familiarize with the Computer Based Test, the candidates are advised to go through the demo (mock
test) available on the website https://www.imu.edu.in
12. The candidates should check the particulars viz., Name, Date of Birth, etc. mentioned in E-Admit Card. The
registered candidates may log grievances, if any to Email: [email protected]. Candidates must refrain from
creating any obstruction during the conduct of Test. If any candidate is found obstructing the conduct of the
Test or creating disturbance sat the Test venue, his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate
shall also be liable to be debarred from future Tests of IMU and legal proceedings could be initiated against
him/her.
13. The candidate should bring only E-Admit Card, original Photo Identification Card and Ball Point Pens to Test
Centre. Candidates are strictly advised not to bring mobile/cellular phones, electronic gadgets, earphones or
microphones, books, notes, electronics or wristwatches of any kind, pagers or any other electronic
communications device, bags, wallet, purses, pen drives or dongles, any type of metallic items , Jewellery etc.
inside the Test/premises. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action against such
candidates including ban from future Tests. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/costly items
to the Test Centre, as safekeeping of the same cannot be assured. IMU will not be responsible for any loss in
this regard. Candidates are allowed to carry SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR (Non-Programmable).
14. Frisking will be done at entry point and during the Test. In the Test, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty

Of : (i) Using unfair means during the Test or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or
(iii) misbehaving in the Test hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her
candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/her candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate
may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, will also be liable:(a) to be
disqualified from the Test for which he/she is a candidate and (b) to be debarred, either permanently or for a
specified period, from any tests conducted by IMU.
15. Candidates are also advised to keep visiting website https://www.imu.edu.in for further updates.
16. Please retain a copy of this E-Admit Card carefully for future records, as the same is required to be produced at
the time/stage of document verification. The E-Admit Card facility is available for a limited period after which

the requests for issue of E-Admit Cards will not be entertained.
17. Anyone found to be disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and
storage of test contents in any form or any information therein in whole or part thereof or by any means i.e.,
verbal or written, electronic or mechanical or taking away the papers supplied in the Test Centre or found to be
in unauthorized possession of test content will be considered as serious misconduct and will be
debarred/disqualified from selection process. Indian Maritime University will take disciplinary and legal action as
per rules and such cases will be reported to police, if necessary.
18. Candidates will be under CCTV surveillances from entry to exit in the test premises.
