1. Kiko buys a property on a highland of Mountain Province very far away from

the city. He needs a stable electric energy resource for his small rest house

and piggery business but he couldn't able to connect into a utility grid. Using

different type of Solar Energy System, select one type that you want to

propose on him. Explain why and draft your initial evaluation for his concern.

Upon reviewing and comprehending Kiko's situation wich he bought a property in

a remote area wherein there is no stable electric energy source. With these, I want to

proposed to Kiko that he should choose the, Stand-Alone / Off- grid Solar PV System

particularly the one with the battery storage.

Off-grid or standalone solar systems are not linked to any electrical grid, grid

failures and downtime will not affect the power supply. This electricity is utilized to

supply power during the night because it uses rechargeable batteries to store the

electrical energy generated by PV panels or arrays. This kind of PV System is

perfect choice for isolated rural regions like in the highlands of Mountain Province

where other power sources are either impractical or somewhat impossible to install

to supply electricity to for lights, appliances, and other uses. In most cases Installing

a single standalone PV system is more affordable than paying for the local power

provider to extend power lines and cables to the. Then, living a rural place without

power and without grid connection, this is the best option.

Figure 1: Stand-Alone / Off- grid Solar PV System

This system is perfect for Kiko's scenario considering stand-alone PV systems

are developed and used in regions that are difficult to access or do not have an

electric grid connection. As previously noted, a stand-alone system is not connected

to the power grid, and the energy produced is often stored in batteries. A PV module

or modules, batteries, and a charge controller are commonly included in a stand-

alone system. The system may also include an inverter to convert the direct current

generated by the PV modules to the alternating current required by ordinary

appliances.

2. You live into the city of Makati standing in between the tall buildings. You

consume a normal residential power expenditure. There are times of utility

grid power interruptions. With the idea of solar power energy, Create an
illustration of your ideal PV system for this concern in most efficient and most

economical way. Kindly elaborate your idea.

Figure 2: Grid-tied solar power systems

This figure depicts the most efficient and cost-effective PV system for this

company. This is referred to as a Grid-Tied Solar System that is an excellent setup,

especially in areas where the electrical grid is unsteady.

Given the above circumstances, a grid-connected solar system is the better

option since it enables the consumer to take advantage of the net metering. The PV

solar panels or array are electrically linked or "tied" to the local mains power grid,

which feeds electrical energy back into the grid, This PV system do not really need to

have a pricey battery since the prospect consumer lives in a city wherein there are

utility grids it can be connected on.

This is simple explanation about how does grid-tied solar power system work.

The solar panels capture and convert sunlight to direct current (DC). The inverter

converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC).  Solar electricity will be

routed through a switchboard throughout the day, powering appliances. If no

electrical appliances are in use, or if there is excess solar power, it is transmitted to

the grid and measured by the meter box. Electricity merchants request credits in

exchange for the energy they generate. When there is no sunlight to create energy,

such as at night, electricity will be extracted from the grid and utilized, which may be

paid for with credits gained.

A grid-tied PV system's is one of the best options to choose from because of

its simplicity, relatively cheap operating and maintenance expenses, and lower

power costs. Most grid-connected designs can do without pricey backup batteries
since grid-tied systems feed their solar energy directly back into the grid. Moreover,

this kind of PV system is permanently connected to the grid, calculations for solar

energy consumption and solar panel sizing are not necessary. This opens a wide

range of options, including the installation of a system as small as 1.0 kWh on the

roof to help lower your electricity bills or a much larger floor mounted array that is

large enough to virtually eliminate your electricity bills entirely.
