Dear Candidate,
1. This is to inform that you have been shortlisted to attend SSB interview at Selection Centre Central,
Bhopal.
2. You are required to report to Selection Centre Central, Bhopal. Reporting will be at Main Gate,
Sultania Infantry Lines, near Gufa Mandir, Lalghati, Bhopal, ONLY ON THE SELECTED/ ALLOTTED
REPORTING DATE as communicated to your registered account on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in/ registered
Email Id/via SMS by 0530 (AM) UNDER OWN ARRANGEMENT. You will be subjected to Medical Screening at
Traffic Check Point of Bhopal Military Station, before you are allowed entry. No other person accompanying
you will be allowed entry. No entry will be allowed into Bhopal Military Station after 0600 (AM) on day of
reporting.
3. No changes will be made to the SSB dates, once selected/ allotted. No absentee batches have been
scheduled.
Note 1:- Local Candidates. Withhold your move and contact us at the earliest in case you or your parents or close
relatives are serving in Selection Centre Central, Bhopal. Further instructions regarding change of Centre will be
intimated to you on receipt of such confirmation from you. Withholding information or giving false information in

Eligibility
4. Please ensure that you fulfill all eligibility criteria strictly as per the Notification published for
SSC (Tech) Men-61 (Oct 2023) Course on our official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in In case of shortcomings if
any, candidates will be returned on reporting for the SSB. Following issues are highlighted:-
(a) Age Limit. 20-27 years as on 01 Oct 2023 (Between 02 Oct 1996 to 01 Oct 2003, both dates
inclusive).
(b) Educational Qualification. Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree
Course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the
final year of Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree
Examination alongwith marks sheets of all semesters/ years by 01 Oct 2023.
5. Candidates must ensure their eligibility as per the streamwise cut off percentages before reporting for SSB.

6. Engineering Streams and their equivalent streams, strictly as per the table above, only will be
accepted. Candidates with any other streams are not eligible. Variation between the nomenclature of
Engineering Stream as given on the parchment /marks sheet and that submitted by the candidate in online
application will result in cancellation of candidature.
(a) Only small innocuous permanent body tattoos are permitted on inner face of forearm i.e from inside
of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos
on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection.
Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a
case to case basis.

Note :- Exhibit-I, II & III of Appendix ‘D’ of permanent body tattoo policy (as applicable) should be
filled by candidates prior to the reporting to selection centre. Tattoo photographs to be incolor duly
pasted and signed at prescribed location and also mention location of tattoo on the body.
Documents required when reporting for SSB Interview.
8. Following documents in ORIGINAL must be brought along with two photocopies each duly self attested
(Original documents will be returned after verification at the SSB):-
(a) Matriculation or Equivalent Certificate for verification of your date of birth. [Certificates issued by
the board concerned (CBSE/State Boards/ICSE)/ Admit Card/ Marks sheet/ transfer/ Leaving Certificate etc in
which date of birth is reflected are not acceptable proof of date of birth].
(f) Valid Proof of Identity with photograph - Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter ID Card.
(g) One copy of Online Application duly signed and affixed with self attested photograph.
(j) Certificate for Not Having Duplicate Profiles/Registration IDs. A declaration to this effect as per
format attached at Appendix ‘B’.
(k) In Case Original Documents Submitted for Pursuing Higher Studies. Candidates are required
to bring a Bonafide cum Custodian Certificate as per Appendix ‘C’ on original letter head duly signed by
the Principal/ Head of institution, where the documents have been submitted.
(m) Residential Address Proof. Any one of these residence proofs i.e. Passport/ Electricity Bill/
Telephone Bill (Landline)/ Ration Card/ Pass Book/ Utility Bill/ Rent Agreement as Proof of your Residential
Address alongwith two photocopies of the same duly self attested.
(n) Educational Qualification. Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree
Course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the
final year of Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing by 01 Oct 2023.
(o) Candidates of Final Year/ Semester of Graduation Degree Course should be able to furnish the
proof of passing to the Directorate General of Recruiting by 01 Oct 2023. Such candidates are required to
bring following documents:-
(i) Certificate (Dates of Final Exam and Results) as per Appendix ‘E’.
(ii) Self Declaration Certificate (Proof of Passing) regarding submission of Proof of Passing
by the Candidate as per Appendix ‘F’.

(p) For Candidates from Universities Following CGPA/ Grades System Conversion Certificate-
Certificate issued by Controller of Exam/ Registrar/ Dean of the concerned University of Principal of the
College regarding cumulative percentage of marks upto final semester/year of Engg degree course/ M.Sc in

whichever is applicable to the candidate. In addition, any candidates having any backlog in any semester

off percentage in his stream. Certificate related to backlog as per Appendix ‘J’.
(q) SSC (Tech) Course at OTA Chennai, candidates studying in final year of Engineering.
To become eligible for induction into SSC (Tech)-61 course at OTA Chennai, candidates studying in final
year of engineering are required to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination alongwith
marks sheet of all semesters/years by 01 Oct 2023 to Directorate General of Recruiting and ensure that the
cumulative percentage of marks upto final semester/ year is not less than the approved cut off percentage,
failing which the candidature will be cancelled. Candidates studying in final year will give an
undertaking/declaration att as per Appendix ‘K’.
(r) In case the candidate‟s college/university follows a grade/CGPA system, the candidate will
mandatorily get a conversion certificate duly authenticated from college/university duly giving out the
conversion formula adopted by them to convert the grads/CGPA into marks/percentage. However, if the
conversion formula is printed behind the original degree certificate or marks sheet issued by the
college/university, the same will be accepted. However in such cases a self attested copy of the same will
be rendered by the candidate and placed in his dossier .
9. Special Instructions: Variations in Personal Particulars. Candidates MUST thoroughly scrutinise all
requisite Certificates and documents, including the Online Application to check if there is any variation in the
personal particulars- Candidate’s Name & Parents Name from document to document. In case of minor
variations also (Eg:- Initials in name, spelling mistakes, suffixing of middle name/surname etc), the candidates are
required to submit an Affidavit stating the variations in the personal particulars in specific documents and corrective
actions taken thereto (to be elaborated in details). Following aspects be kept in mind, while preparing the Affidavit:-
(a) The personal particulars- Candidate’s Name & Parents Name as contained in Matriculation or
Equivalent Certificate only will be acceptable.
(b) Due care be taken to address all the variations without leaving any scope for interpretations/
assumptions whatsoever of such variations from document to document. In absence of correct affidavit,
the candidate will be returned back without entertaining any representations.
10. Candidates who have Resided in Foreign Countries. Candidates who have resided in foreign countries
during the last five years, for a duration of min one year must carry with them the following documents:-
(a) Copy of valid Passport and Visa, as applicable to the country stayed in.
11. Pendency of any Court Case Against Candidate. Candidates who have any court case pending against
them must carry with them the following documents/information:-
12. Clearance Certificate. A clearance certificate will also be submitted from each of previous employer in
respect of candidates who are or were employed under Central/State Govt undertaking or autonomous bodies
(Format attached as Appendix ‘M’)
13. It is imperative that suitable measures with reference to social distancing to restrict/slow down the spread of
infection are undertaken. The following precautionary measures enumerated below will be strictly implemented.
(a) Candidates should follow social distancing and other COVID protocols while travelling in
train/taxi/or any other mode of transport.
(b) A candidate, if found to have any symptoms should not move from the home station. If such a
candidate reports to this Centre he will be returned back during medical screening on arrival.
(c) The candidate should carry hand sanitizers, soaps, face masks, face shields and a pair of
gloves.

(d) Candidate to get hot & cold water bottles, which will be carried by them at all the times during
their stay at SSB.
(e) The candidate will have Aarogya Setu App installed in his mobile phone prior to leaving home
station for selection centre. Screen shot printout of having green status on the set App will be taken
prior to leaving home, the same will be kept at the time of reporting at the Selection Centre.
(f) The candidate will not travel from any containment zones, including orange zones.
(g) Those candidate who are selected in Stage-I for Stage-II will not be allowed to go out of
Selection Centre premises for any purpose in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
(h) Candidates are advised to carry adequate clothing that will be required for their stay of two
weeks in case recommended for selection as there shall be no laundry facilities till the pandemic is over.
(j) Candidates are advised to ensure that they do not carry any medication with them including any
generic medicine. Any medical assistance required will be provided at Selection Centre. There will be
check of body temperature at least thrice a day during their stay with the Selection Centre. During
Stage-I medical check up will be carried out at every stage of testing to ensure that the candidates are
safe.
(k) Candidates have to bring No Risk Certificate and Undertaking Certificate as per format attached
at Appendix ‘N’ & Appendix ‘O’ respectively.
(l) QUARANTINE POLICY:- All Candidates will meet the quarantine requirements of the
respective states before their due date of reporting for the SSB batch. As per Govt of MP, State
Policy, an individual will only be quarantined if he/she has symptoms of COVID-19.
(m) Entry on Day-1 will be permitted only if all above instruction have been followed.
(a) Candidates who have a vaccination certificate for two doses generated from COWIN platform and
are asymptomatic on arrival will be exempted from carrying a negative RTPCR report.
(b) Service Entry candidates who have a vaccination certificate issued by MH for two doses and are
asymptomatic on arrival will be exempted from carrying a negative RTPCR report.
(c) Any candidate (including Service Entry candidate) who does not possess the vaccination
certificate will be required to produce RTPCR negative report as in vogue. The RTPCR test should
have been conducted within 72 hours of reporting at the Selection Centre.
15. Procedure at SSB. Testing will be conducted over five days including the day of arrival, in two stages:-
(a) Stage I. The Stage I testing shall commence at 06:30AM on the first day and will comprise of an
Intelligence Test and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT). In case of rejection in Stage I,
the candidates shall be returned from the Selection Centre in the afternoon of the same day.
(b) Stage II. The Stage II tests comprises of Psychological Tests, Group Test I & II and Interview for
the next four days.
Note:- In order to familiarise yourself with the SSB procedure being followed, you are advised to
follow the link http://www.joinindianarmy.gov.in. Only change being that you would be reporting on day of
Stg 1.
16. Compensation. Government is not responsible for any compensation to the candidates or to their
guardians/ heirs for injuries sustained by them during the period of testing or while using military transport.
17. Travelling Allowance (TA). Candidates appearing for SSB interview for Permanent/ Short Service
Commission (Army/ Air Force/ Navy) for the first time for a particular type of commission shall be entitled
for AC-III tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within Indian
limits. Re-imbursement of TA will be made to Bank Account through NEFT. To claim TA, if applicable,
candidates must submit TA Form (Format attached as Appendix ‘P’) a copy of the tickets and a cancelled
cheque or a self attested photocopy of first page of bank passbook. You are liable to forfeit the TA if you:-
(a) Are withdrawn from any stage of Testing due to ineligibility/ cancellation of candidature.
(b) Make use of any travel concession forms from Defence or any other Govt Department.
(c) Candidates are authorized to travel by AC III Tier / AC Chair Car/Mail/Express train only (Except
Rajdhani/ Shatabdi/ Duronto). Base fare of the ticket will be given as TA as per Defence Travel Rule.
(d) Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will not be entitled to travelling
allowance on any subsequent occasion.

(a) Candidates declared successful in the SSB interview are required to submit at the earliest a
photocopy duly attested by Class-I Gazetted Officer of all such provisional degree / degree certificate,
acquired after the SSB interview to Director General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters Ministry of
Defence (Army) West Block - III, R K Puram, New Delhi - 110066.
(b) Candidates are further advised that documents already verified at Selection Centre need not be
submitted again to IHQ of MoD (Army). In case of loss of such documents, the onus will entirely rest upon
the candidate.
Character and Identiy Certificate of Candidate for Commission.
19. Selected candidates must submit two references duly completed and signed by referees, to the respective
Training Academies at the time of joining. Format of Referee Certificate (IAFK 1180) is at Appendix ‘Q’.
Note.
(a) In order to preliminarily establish identity of the candidates, separate reference to two referees
(not relatives) chosen by the candidates and who have known the candidates for not less than 2 years (as
on the date of clearing SSB) to vouch for their character and antecedents and furnish information regarding
their marital status
(b) It should be ensured that referees indicated by the candidates come under the definition of
trustworthy persons as given in the Attestation Form
(a) In case, you qualify in the Stage II testing, you shall be required to undergo a Special Medical
Board (SMB) over the next four to five days.
(b) In your own interest you are advised to undergo a preliminary medical check-up before reporting for
SSB interview.
(c) Unfit Candidates. In case you are found unfit in the SMB, you are eligible for Appeal Medical
Board (AMB) within 42 days (as applicable) from the date of approval of the SMB. In case, you are
found unfit even in the AMB, you are eligible for Review Medical Board (RMB) which is the final appeal.
This has to be submitted within 24 hours of approval of the AMB. Grant of RMB is at the discretion of
the Medical Authorities.
21. Administrative Instructions. Following administrative instructions are laid down for Candidates‟
guidance and strict compliance:-
(a) Cash and Valuables. It is advised that, adequate money should be carried by candidates for
meeting their requirements. No valuables should be carried. Safe custody of cash and valuables will be
the responsibility of the candidates.
(b) No individual will be allowed to go out of the Selection Centre premises.
(c) Candidates will strictly adhere to laid down timings at all places.
(d) Candidates will not visit testing areas after testing hours.
(e) Mobile phones will be deposited on arrival and their usage during the stay at Selection Centre,
Bhopal is strictly prohibited.
(f) Any contravention of above orders/ any act of indiscipline/ malpractices or cheating during
testing will invite immediate cancellation of candidature on disciplinary grounds. Cases of serious
breach of discipline and conduct will be handed over to civil police and FIR registered accordingly.
(g) Items to be Brought. Following items will be required for the interview: -
