Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty , by
providing access to quality education, students can equip
themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to
improve their lives and those of their communities. In addition,
education is a powerful tool to promote gender equality,
another critical issue addressed in the SDGs.

VOLUNTEERING
Benefits

volunteer and the community.
It allows individuals to contribute their time and
skills towards a cause they are passionate about,
while also providing opportunities for personal
and professional growth.
Volunteering can help individuals develop new

FUNDRAISING
Fundraising allows individuals and organizations to raise money for

increased public support, which can in turn attract more volunteers,

EXAMPLES OF STUDENT-LED INITIATIVES

1.Food for Thought: This initiative was launched by a
group of students from the University of California,
Berkeley, who aimed to address food insecurity on
their campus. The program provides free food and
essential supplies to students in need.
2. The Enactus Project: Enactus is a global organization

that empowers students to create social enterprises
that tackle social and environmental issues. The
Enactus Project provides opportunities for students to

4.YouthLEAD: YouthLEAD is a global initiative that

empowers young people to become leaders in their
communities. The program provides training and
resources to help young people develop leadership skills
and implement poverty reduction projects.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, poverty remains a critical issue that
requires a comprehensive and collaborative
effort to address. Students have a significant role
to play in supporting the no poverty goal. By
volunteering, fundraising, advocating, and
