MECHANICS, GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA

MASS DEMONSTRATION

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

1.The competition is open to all TEAM.


2.Each TEAM will have a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 60 members.
3.Each TEAM will perform to any dance music with a maximum time limit of 6 minutes.
Beyond this limit, a total of five (5) points will be deducted from the TEAM total score.
4.The members of the TEAM may be composed of all males or females, or any
combination thereof.
5.The dance routine must have the accompaniment of a modern, hip-hop, or ANY DANCE GENRE and
lively music.
6.The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props is not allowed.
7.Any team proven in violation of the rules & regulations will be automatically disqualified
from the event.
8.Decision of judges is final and non-appealable

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES:

1. The contest is open to all TEAM; participant’s must be FEMALE or MALE.

2. There must be 1 contestant in every TEAM.

3. Costumes must be presentable.

4. Performance must not convey any malicious acts.

5. The contestant must choose 1 English/Tagalog song to be sung.

6. The decisions of the committee and judges are final and irrevocable.

1. The competition is open to all TEAM


2. Every TEAM must have 1 participant either MALE or FEMALE
3. Each TEAM will pick the ARTIST they will impersonate thru draw lots system, this will be
facilitated by Sir Val Garay and Sir Kim Cabucos. Strictly NO exchange of artist will be
implemented.
4. They must prepare 1 full song of the artist they are going to impersonate. Strictly no mush-
up
5. Music must be CD and FLASH DRIVE format (MINUS ONE). It should be submitted day before
the contest. You may submit it to Sir Val Garay.
6. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

DANCE SPORT COMPETITION

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

1. A team shall be composed of one (1) pair in LATIN DANCE SPORT AND STANDARD.

2. The maximum routine time limit is one (1) minute and a pair shall dance the following:

LATIN:

 CHA-CHA-CHA, RUMBA, SAMBA and JIVE

STANDARD:

 WALTZ, TANGO, QUICKSTEP

4. The management/EMT shall provide for music.

5. A pair shall wear a dance sport costume provided that it will not be so daring (ex. Plunging
neckline, low back, revealing too much of the human body)

6. A group performance shall follow after the individual performance.

7. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

HIP-HOP COMPETITION

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

1. All entries should have a minimum of ten (10) and maximum of sixteen (15) members.

2. A panel of judges shall determine the winners based on the foregoing criteria. Any violation of the
foregoing rules may cause 3 points deduction per violation on the final score. The decision of the
panel shall be final and irrevocable.

3. Performance order will be determined by the management via drawing of lots.

4. The duration of the dance should be a minimum of 3 minutes, and a maximum of 5 minutes.

5. Any kind of hip hop dance is allowed (locking, popping, krump, house, stepping, breakdance,
wacking, tutting, vogueing, party dances, hip-hop choreography) or any kind of dance with hip hop
as their focal thought of choreography or background to execute it properly.

6. No vulgarity, obscenity, and explicit contents are allowed.

7. Costumes must be decent. (Wholesome)

8. Props that are not considered as an integral part of a crew’s attire are prohibited (ex. canes,
chairs, tambourines, musical instruments).

9. Attire may include accessories such as hats, scarves, caps, gloves, jewelries, etc. Removing pieces
of clothing during the performance is permitted provided it is not offensive or out of character.

10. Body/face oils or paints/other substances applied to the body or clothing that may affect the
clean dry surface of the stage and the safeties of fellow competitors are PROHIBITED.

11. Participants’ competition music must be submitted BEFORE the day of the contest. You may
submit it to Sir Kim Cabucos.

12. There is no maximum or minimum number of songs/recordings that may be used in the routine,
and may be edited to enhance choreography and personal performance.

13. The competition music must not contain inappropriate, lewd, or offensive language.

FOLK DANCE COMPETITION

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

1. Dance presentation could be the TEAM own interpretation of one particular Folk dance.
2. Foreign song accompaniment shall not be allowed. Only folk-dance music or indigenous
musical accompaniment (canned or live) shall be accepted.
3. The TEAM MUST provide Dance Literature of the folk dance they choose. You must also
provide 4 copies for the judges and to the committee.
4. There shall be a maximum of 15 and minimum of 10 participants/performers in each TEAM.
5. The presentation must run from a minimum of 3 minutes to a maximum of 6 minutes
including entry and exit of the participants.
6. The official acceptance of a selected dance presentation shall be based on a first come, first
served basis.
7. Hand-carried props are allowed except sharp/breakable/flammable objects and other kinds
of liquids.
8. Materials/Props that will cause the stage to become slippery or dangerous are strictly
prohibited. The committee has the right to refuse materials/props that may be deemed
hazardous.
9. Exceeding the time of every (10) ten seconds will be automatically deducted from the total
score of (1) one point by the committee.
10. The music must be submitted before the day of the contest. You may submit it to Sir Kim
Cabucos.
11. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

VOCAL SOLO AND DUET COMPETITION

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

1. Each TEAM will select a representative in the said contest.

2. The song to be sung must be OPM.

3. Each TEAM should have one (1) representative for vocal solo and one (1) pair for duet.

4. The participants should finish the whole duration of the song.

5. The clothes to be worn must be casual.

6. The verdict of the board or jury is final and cannot be changed.

7. The music (minus one) must give in to a day before the contest.
