Nanotechnology involves manipulating matter at the atomic and molecular levels and has many potential applications. It could revolutionize medicine through cancer treatment, nerve regeneration, and enhanced medical devices. However, some nanoparticles may have unintended environmental consequences, as silver particles used in socks have been shown to destroy beneficial bacteria once flushed down drains. While nanotechnology provides benefits, researchers must continue studying both its potential health impacts and ensuring it is developed responsibly.

One of the newest breakthrough in medical community is the development of
nanotechnology, which involves the manner of manipulating the atomic structure of matter. The impact of nanotechnology extends from its medical, ethical, mental, legal and environmental applications, to fields such as engineering, biology, chemistry, computing, materials science, and communications. Nanotechnology ("nanotech") is exploitation and manipulation of the structures of matter or living things which is focused to atomic and molecular level. The earliest, widespread description of nanotechnology is referred to the particular technological goal of precisely manipulating atoms and molecules for fabrication of certain products, also now referred to as “molecular nanotechnology.” Major benefits of nanotechnology include improved manufacturing methods, water purification systems, energy systems, physical enhancement, nanomedicine, better food production methods, nutrition and large-scale infrastructure auto-fabrication Nanotechnology covers innovations in healthcare, energy, automotive, and electronic applications. But among these benefits the most valuable is the nanomedicine, which is anchored to our health. The benefits of nanomedicine includes cancer and tumors eradication or treatment, having a high efficiencies and effectiveness of therapies, nerve rejuvenation and regeneration, revolutionize medical appliances, and boost energy production of our body. Public health research agencies, such as the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health are actively conducting research on potential health effects stemming from exposures to nanoparticles whether its harmful or beneficial. However, some nanoparticle products may have unintended consequence. Researchers have discovered that bacteriostatic silver nanoparticles used in socks to reduce foot odor are being released in the wash. These particles are then flushed into the wastewater stream and may destroy bacteria which are critical components of natural ecosystems, farms, and waste treatment processes. According to statistics, the North America currently dominates the healthcare nanotechnology market, and is expected to maintain its position over the forecasted period. Cost is the main factor that is often overlooked. The other restraining factor also include time-consuming product approval. North America, especially The United States, will still play an important role which cannot be ignored. Any changes from United States might affect the development trend of Healthcare Nanotechnology. In 1959, Richard Feynman gave a concept about adaptation of this new technology, which is often held to have provided inspiration for the field of nanotechnology. which many years later inspired the conceptual foundations of nanotechnology. We could not deny about the fact of the colossal benefits of nanotechnology, especially in terms of medicine but as we don’t know the sud-consequences or the risk of this advanced technology in our health. So let’s all be vigilant in this new breakthrough, because if this technology are been overuse or use for wicked purposes, this will sow a frightful controversy.
