    Topic: Pre-Activity Module 3 & 4 Perspective of Teaching & Learning

    Module 3 Pre-Activity: Think of the best teacher that you ever had last semester
    who created a positive impact on you. Identify at least 5 of his/her characteristics
    that facilitated your learning. List down these characteristics and write a brief
    explanation beside each characteristic. You may or may not reveal the name of
    this teacher. Be ready to share this in class.

    Teacher: Rose Mary De La Pena (Theoretical Foundations of Nursing)

    Strict – She disciplined us through her strict regulations, and as she changed the way how
    I view my studies, cause of how rigid she is with her deadlines and activities, and such as
    school policies.

    Practical – I learned that being heuristic is much more helpful rather than being spoon fed,
    as she would give us some tips and tell about her experiences, as we reflect from it and
    through those reflections I learned practical ways of how to perform nursing profession in
    the near future.

    Confident – Through her way of teaching and how she approaches us students, we
    became more intrigue of her lessons and it even influenced us.

    Open Minded – She listens not only through our concerns regarding on how we would
    approach the nursing world, but she is an open book who still seek for knowledge coming
    from us students.

    Patient – She is patient through her lessons, because she approaches us and validates if
    we truly understand her lessons before moving on to a new concept.

    Module 4 Pre-Activity: Work as a group to develop a list of teacher characteristics


    that facilitates client teaching. Similarly, develop a list of teacher characteristics
    that hinder learning.
