Create a LAN with star topology using the switch in CPT, show the simulation for transferring the
data from PC1 to PC3, and analyse the details of the OSI model layers of the source, switch and
destination. Write the details of the MACaddress table.

Then, Simulation is run.

We observe OSI Model of devices as PDU goes from one device to another.
At switch:

At PC-8:
Create a WAN by connecting a router using two LAN’s by a switch with star
topology in CPT, show the simulation for transferring data from LAN1 to LAN2,
analyse the details of the OSI model layers of the source, switch and the
destination.

.
QUESTION 3

Show the simulation for ARP protocol by using CPT.

Step 1 :

Select switch 2960-s switch and rename it as S1.

Step 2 :

Connect 4 PCs to the switch as PC1,PC2,PC3 and PC4.

Step 3 :
o Consider the IP address of PC1 as 192.168.10.10
o Consider the IP address of PC2 as 192.168.10.11
o Consider the IP address of PC3 as 192.168.10.12
o Consider the IP address of PC4 as 192.168.10.13

Step 4 :

Using simulator sending message from PC1 to PC4.

Step 5 :

PC1 refers to memory to find MAC address this done by verifying ARP table.
Step 6 :

The message if transmitted from PC1 to PC4.

Step 7 :

Sending message from PC2 to PC3

Step 8 :

PC2 refers to memory to find the MAC address this is done by verified ARP table.
Step 9 :

The message is transmitted from PC2 to PC3.

Step 10 :

Sending message from PC3 to PC2

Step 11 :

PC3 refers to memory to find MAC address this done by verified ARP table.

Step 12 :

The message is successfully transmitted from PC3to PC2

Step 13 :

Sending the message from PC4 to PC1.

Step 14 :

PC4 refers to memory to find MAC address this done by verified ARP table.

Step 15 :

The message is successfully transmitted from PC4 TO PC1.

QUESTION 4

Show the simulation for Static NAT by using CPT.

Step 1 :

Place a 1 bridge, 2 switches and 3 PCs per LAN.

Step 2 :

Connect the 2 LAN with bridge automatically choose connection type.

Step 3 :
Set the IP address for PCS.
Step 4 :

Ping measures the approximate round trip time for message transmission from PC0 to PC5.

Step 5 :

Transfer the message from PC0 to PC5

Step 6 :

Successfully the message is transmitted from PC0 to PC5.
