Thank you for selecting [Lawfirm Name] to provide legal services for your company
in connection with its licensing efforts. We believe that an essential component of client
satisfaction is an understanding of the financial and other terms of our legal representation.
For that reason, we are outlining certain of these terms in this letter and the attached materials.
Our fees will be based primarily on the time spent by each professional, although other
factors may be taken into consideration. My current rate is $[100% hourly rate]/hour, but will
be discounted per the side agreement attached to this letter.
It is our firm's policy to bill monthly and to ask our clients to pay our bills within 30
days of receipt.
The documents entitled “What Clients Should Know” and “Retainer Agreement”
which are enclosed with this letter sets forth additional terms of our business arrangement
with you. If you have questions on any of the information presented here--or, for that matter,
should you have a concern or question at any time during our representation--please call me.
To indicate your company's assent with the terms of our legal representation as well as
the firm's billing arrangements and terms of payment as set forth in this letter and the

attachments, please sign a copy of this letter on behalf of your company and return it to me.
