THE ANNUNCIATION

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a virgin, and the virgin's name was Mary (Luke 1: 26,27)
When she heard him she was troubled at his word, and kept pondering what manner of greeting this might be.
(Luke 1:29)
And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid Mary for you have found grace with God." (Luke 1:30)
"Behold, you shall conceive in your womb and shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus." (Luke
1:31)
"He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and of His kingdom there shall be no end." (Luke
1:32-33)
But Mary said to the angel, "How shall this happen, since I do not know man?" (Luke 1:34)
"The Holy Spirit shall come upon you and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you." (Luke 1:35)
"And therefore the Holy One to be born shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)
"Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it done to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38)

THE VISITATION
Now Mary went into the hill country. And she entered the house of Zachary and saluted Elizabeth. (Luke 1:39-40)
When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe in her womb leapt. And she was filled with the Holy Spirit.
(Luke 1:41)
And she cried out, "Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb!" (Luke 1:42)
"And blessed is she who has believed, because the things promised her by the Lord shall be accomplished." (Luke
1:45)
And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my savior; for He has regarded the
lowliness of His handmaid." (Luke 1:46-48)
"For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed; for He who is mighty has done great things for me."
(Luke 1:48-49)
"And holy is His name: and His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear Him." (Luke 1:49-50)
"He has shown might with His arm, He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart." (Luke 1:51)
"He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and has exalted the lowly." (Luke 1:52)
"He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty." (Luke 1:53)

THE NATIVITY
It came to pass while they were in Bethlehem, that the days for her to be delivered were fulfilled. (Luke 2:6)
And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes. (Luke 2:7)
And she laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:7)
And there were shepherds in the same district. And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them. (Luke 2:8-9)
"Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be to all the people." (Luke 2:10)
"For today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, who is Christ, the Lord." (Luke 2:11)
"Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace to men of good will." (Luke 2:14)
And behold, Magi came from the East, and entering they found the child with Mary His mother.  (Matt. 2:11)
And falling down they worshipped Him and they offered Him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Matt. 2:11)
And Mary kept in mind all these things, pondering them in her heart.  (Luke 2:19)

THE PRESENTATION
According to the Law of Moses, they took Jesus up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord. (Luke 2:32)
Now there was in Jerusalem a man named Simeon, and this man was just and devout, looking for the consolation
of Israel. (Luke 2:25)
And it had been revealed to him that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. (Luke
2:26)
And when they brought in the child Jesus, he received Him into his arms  and blessed God. (Luke 2:27-28)
"Now You can dismiss Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word, in peace." (Luke 2:29)
"Because my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all peoples." (Luke 2:30-
31)
"A light of revelation to the Gentiles, and a glory for Your people, Israel."  (Luke 2:32)
And he said to Mary, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, and for a sign that
shall be contradicted." (Luke 2:34)
"And your own soul a sword shall pierce, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."  (Luke 2:35)
And they returned to Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong, and the grace of God was upon Him. (Luke
2:39)

THE FINDING OF JESUS

When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. (Luke 2:42)
And when they were returning, the boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem, and His parents did not know it. (Luke 2:43)
They returned to Jerusalem in search of Him. And after three days, they found Him in the temple. (Luke 2:45-46)
He was sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. (Luke 2:46)
And all who were listening to Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers. (Luke 2:47)
"Son, why have You done this to us?  Behold, in sorrow Your father and I have been seeking You." (Luke 2:48)
"How is it that you sought Me?  Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?"  (Luke 2:49)nd they
did not understand the word that He spoke to them. (Luke 2:51)
And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them. (Luke 2:51)
And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and grace before God and man. (Luke 2:52)

THE BAPTISM OF OUR LORD

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the desert of Judea and saying “Repent for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand.” (Matt. 3:1-2)
Then people from Jerusalem, all of Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him.  They were
baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. (Matt. 3:5-6)
“I indeed baptize you with water for repentance.” But he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I
am not worthy to bear.” (Matt. 3:11)
“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matt. 3:11)
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John, at the Jordan, to be baptized by him. (Matt. 3:13)
But John would have hindered him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and you come to me?” (Matt. 3:14)
But Jesus, answering, said to him, “Allow it now, for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he
allowed him. (Matt. 3:15)
Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him.
(Matt. 3:16)
He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him.  (Matt. 3:16)
A voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:17)

THE WEDDING FEAST AT CANA

There was a marriage in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there (John 2:1)
Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the marriage. When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They
have no wine.” (John 2:2-3)
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:4)
His mother said to the attendants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5)
Now six stone water-jars were placed there, after the Jewish manner of purification [each holding two or three
measures (20-30 gallons)] (John 2:6)
Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them to the brim. (John 2:7)
And Jesus said to them, “Now draw from it, and carry it to the chief steward of the feast.” And they took it to him.
(John 2:8)
Then, when the chief steward had tasted the water made into wine, since he did not know where it was from, for
only the servants who had drawn the water knew, the chief steward called the bridegroom. (John 2:9)
And He said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which
is worse. But You have kept the good wine until now!” (John 2:10)
This was the beginning of the signs that Jesus accomplished in Cana of Galilee, and it manifested his glory, and his
disciples believed in him. (John 2:11)

THE PROCLAMATION OF THE KINGDOM

Jesus came into Galilee preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying "The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the Gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15)
“Unless a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven” (Matt 5:3)
“Blessed are they who suffer persecution for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt
5:10)
“Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.”
(Matt 5:20)
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. When he finds a single pearl of great price, he
goes and sells all that he has and buys it.” (Matt 13:45-46)
“Amen I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
(Matt 18:3)
“Children, how hard it is for those that trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!”  (Mark 10:24)
“I must proclaim the kingdom of God, for this is why I have been sent” (Luke 4:43)
“My kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36)

THE TRANSFIGURATION
Jesus took Peter, James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain by themselves and was transfigured
before them (Matt 17:1)
And his face shone as the sun and his garments became white as snow. (Matt 17:2)
And behold there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking together with him. (Matt 17:3)
Now Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep. But when they were fully awake, they saw his glory and the
two men who were standing with him. (Luke 9:32)
Then Peter addressed Jesus saying “Lord it is good for us to be here. Let us set up three tents here, one for you,
one for Moses and one for Elijah” (Matt 17:4)
As he was still speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. (Matt 17:5)
And behold a voice out of the cloud said “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear him.” (Matt
17:5)
And on hearing it the disciples fell on their faces and were exceedingly afraid. (Matt 17:6)
And Jesus came near and touched them and said to them, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” (Matt 17:7)
And suddenly looking round, they no longer saw anyone with them but only Jesus. (Mark 9:8)
Jesus said “I am the bread of life”. (John 6:35)
“He who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.”  (John 6:35)
“He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has life everlasting and I shall raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:54)
“For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed” (John 6:56)
And while they were at supper, Jesus took bread and blessed and broke it, and gave it to his disciples and said
(Matt 26:26)
“This is my body which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19)
And taking a cup, he gave thanks and gave it to them, saying (Matt 26:27)
“This is my blood of the new covenant which shall be shed for many.”  (Mark 14:24)
“Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” (1 Cor 11:25)
For as often as you shall eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord, until he comes. (1
Cor 11:26)
THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN
Jesus came with them to Gethsemane and He began to be saddened and exceedingly troubled. (Matt. 26:36-37)
Then He said to them, "My soul is sad, even unto death. Wait here and watch with Me." (Matt. 26:38)
And going forward a little, He fell on the ground and began to pray.  (Mark 14:35)
"Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will but Thine be done." (Luke 22:42)
And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven to strengthen Him.  (Luke 22:43)
And falling into an agony He prayed the more earnestly. (Luke 22:43)
And His sweat became as drops of blood running down upon the ground. (Luke 22:44)
Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And He said, "Could you not, then, watch one hour with
me?" (Matt. 26:40)
"Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation." (Matt. 26:41)
"The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Matt. 26:41)

THE SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR

They bound Jesus and delivered Him to Pilate. And Pilate asked Him, "Art thou the king of the Jews?" (Mark 15:1-2)
Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world.  But thou sayest it; I am a king." (John 18:36-37)
"This is why I was born, and why I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth." (John 18:37)
Then Pilate said, “I find no guilt in this man. I will therefore chastise Him and release Him." (Luke 23:4, 16)
Pilate then took Jesus and had Him scourged. (John 19:1)
Oppressed and condemned, He was taken away, a man of suffering. (Isa. 53:8, 3)
Though He was harshly treated, He submitted, like a lamb led to the slaughter. (Isa. 53:7)
He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins. (Isa. 53:5)
It was our infirmities that He bore, our sufferings, that He endured.  (Isa. 53:4)
Upon Him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by His stripes we are healed. (Isa. 53:5)

THE CROWNING WITH THORNS

Now the soldiers led Him away into the courtyard, and they stripped Him and put on Him a purple cloak. (Mark
15:16; Matt. 27:28)
And plaiting a crown of thorns they put it on His head, and a reed into His right hand. (Matt. 27:29)
And bending the knee before Him they mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!" (Matt. 27:29)
And they spat on Him, and took the reed and kept striking Him on the head. (Matt. 27:50)
Pilate again went outside and said, “I bring Him out to you, that you may know that I find no guilt in Him." (John
19:4)
Jesus therefore came forth, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple cloak. (John 19:5)
And Pilate said to them, "Behold the man!"  But they cried out, "Away with Him! Crucify Him!" (John 19:5, 15)
"Why, what evil has He done?"  But they kept crying out the more, "Crucify Him!" (Mark 15:14)
"Shall I crucify your king?" And the chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." (John 19:15)
Then he handed Him over to them to be crucified. And so they took Jesus and led Him away. (John 19:16)
"If anyone wishes to come after Me let him deny himself." (Luke 9:23)
"And take up his cross daily, and follow Me." (Luke 9:23)
And bearing the cross for Himself, He went forth to the place called "The Skull." (John 19:17)
And they laid hold of a certain Simon of Cyrene, and upon him they laid the cross to bear it after Jesus. (Luke
23:26)
"Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me." (Matt. 11:29)
"For I am meek, and humble of heart." (Matt. 11:29)
"And you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden light." (Matt. 11:29-30)
Now there was following Him a great crowd of people, and of women, who were bewailing and lamenting Him.
(Luke 23:27)
Jesus, turning to them, said, "Do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children." (Luke 23:28)
"For if in the case of the green wood they do these things, what is to happen in the case of the dry?" (Luke 23:31)

THE CRUCIFIXION
And when they came to the place called "The Skull,” they crucified Him. (Luke 23:33)
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34)
And one of the robbers crucified with Him said, Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom. (Matt.
27:44; Luke  23:39, 42)
And Jesus said to him “Amen I say to thee this day thou shalt be with Me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
And Jesus saw His mother and the disciple standing by, whom He loved.  (John 19:26)
And He said to His mother, "Woman, behold thy son." Then He said to His disciple, "Behold thy mother." (John
19:26-27)
And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. (John 19:27)
And the sun was darkened, and the earth quaked, and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. (Luke 23:45;
Matt. 27:51)
And Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said, “Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit." (Luke 23:45)
And bowing His head, He expired. (John 19:30; Luke 23:46)

THE RESURRECTION
"Amen, amen, I say to you, that you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy." (John 16:20)
"For I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one shall take from you."  (John 16:22)
At early dawn, they came to the tomb, taking the spices that they had prepared.  (Luke 24:1)
And behold, an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and drawing near rolled back the stone. (Matt. 28:2)
"Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified." (Matt. 28:5)
"He is not here, but has risen. Behold the place where they laid Him."  (Luke 24:6; Mark 16:6)
"And behold, He goes before you into Galilee; there you shall see Him." (Matt. 28:7)
And they departed quickly from the tomb in fear and great joy.  (Matt. 28:8)
"I am the Resurrection and the Life; he who believes in Me, even if he die, shall live." (John 11:25)
"And whoever believes in Me shall never die." (John 11:26)

THE ASCENSION
Now He led them out toward Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. (Luke 24:50)
Saying, "All power in Heaven and on earth has been given to Me."  (Matt. 28:18)

"But he who does not believe shall be condemned." (Mark 16:16)
"And behold, I am with you all days, even unto the consummation of the world." (Matt. 28:20)
And it came to pass as He blessed them, that He parted from them. (Luke 24:51)
