CAUTION 9
In case of transmission with ZF-Intarder, a
distinction is made between oil fill during oil
change and oil fill after transmission repair.
NOTE
The oil fill may only take place when the vehicle
is parked on horizontal ground and the engine is
switched off. Oil grade according to TE-ML 02. 029437_2
CAUTION
Check oil level again and if necessary, top up with
oil until it overflows.

CAUTION
To check the oil level, the Intarder must not be
activated just before parking the vehicle.
This ensures that the correct oil volume is
measured in the transmission.
NOTES
• In order to get a correct measurement, the oil
level check is to be effected with
- Vehicle parked on horizontal ground,
- Engine turned off,
- Transmission oil cooled down (< 40 °C).
CHECK
• Park your vehicle in stationary position without
actuating the Intarder.
• Remove the screw plug at the oil filler hole (3)
during oil level check.
• If the oil level has dropped below the edge of the
oil filler hole, refill oil until overflow.
• Insert screw plug (3) and new sealing ring and
tighten to 60 Nm.

Relative clutch stroke (%) in neutral to S_kup (%) Clutch closed = 100%
A %Ù mm
Absolute clutch stroke (mm) S_Kup_abs(mm) 100% = 27 – 60mm
Conditions:
Engine: idle speed - Transmission: neutral - Clutch: engaged = 100%
100% = value in mm „set value“ between 27 and 60 mm (e.g. 41mm) depending on wear
Absolute transfer point (mm) (wear depended) S_kup_ap_abs Between 12 and 45mm mm
Conditions:
Engine: idle speed - Transmission: neutral - Clutch check passed at engine start-up, clutch engaged.
B Actual value in mm: between 12 and 45 mm means 0% clutch travel
“Absolute transfer point” ( “kissing point”): Clutch will disengage (open) until the transmission input rpm drops down to 0 rpm
(If not, fault code 117/124 will be logged). Next, the clutch will engage until a specific transmission input rpm is being recognized (“kissing point”)
and then slightly open back to fully disengaged position and engine rpm is zero again. (0% = e.g.: 25mm)

and absolute clutch transfer point
C (DAF: 14 – 21 mm)
Calculation:
Actual value to be between: 15 and 19mm. This is the working stroke of the clutch actuator between clutch engaged and disengaged.
E.g.: clutch position in neutral = 41mm and kissing point at 25mm (41mm – 25mm = 16mm), the result is the working stroke: 16mm
