The Knights Creed

-Welcome to the first Knights Creed of the 2022-2023 school year! We hope that the following
information will give you a guide as we proceed. We know your students will have an amazing
experience in our program!!!

-Summer band is upon us! We begin with all the band on Monday July 25th at 7 am. The camp
will run to 6:30 pm with lunch from noon to 1 pm daily. 9th grade students will not be allowed to
leave with upper classmen unless it is a sibling. Students must bring all equipment (both concert
and marching instruments), wear athletic clothing, and bring a ½ gallon jug of water. Students Guard Corner
who cannot get a ride for lunch may bring a lunch to eat IN THE BAND HALL. No eating in
other parts of the school. Students that do not have a half gallon jug of water will be asked to

leave and return once they have one. Also, students MUST have an approved physical uploaded Corner!
on RANKONE before they can participate.
• Information in this
- Student can eat a PROTEIN filled breakfast before they come to rehearsal, but not too much as
we will start off with some stretches and cardio! We ask that students not consume carbonated

beverages and NO DAIRY on the days of summer band. We will be outside from 7 to 11 am and guard specific!
inside for the remainder of the day. Friday July 29th and Friday August 5th are days off from

band schedule for this

-If your student has not passed off Mvt. 1 to a section leader MUST get it done before tomorrow
morning!! Please speak with your student and help us with this.

-WEEKLY GOALS! We will send the weekly goals for the wind playing students (brass and
woodwinds) on a separate email. After this week, goals will be sent out on Fridays, so students
have the weekend to prepare for Monday and Tuesday and utilize the rest of the week to stay
ahead. THE GOAL SHEETS ARE THE LIFE-BLOOD OF OUR PROGRAM!
Upcoming Events (please note some recent changes)

-Monday-Thursday July 25th – August 4th 7:00 am-6:30 pm. Summer

Band/Guard Camp!

-Monday-Friday- August 8th- August 12th. 4 pm -8 pm rehearsals.

Friday will be a picture day during rehearsal.

-Friday- August 12th. 7 pm CFHS Band Parent Showcase! This event

will be held at the CFHS Band Parking lot and will debut their 2022
production to our most important audience of the year…..our
PARENTS!

Our students are REQUIRED to have Part 1 of THE SHOW passed off to
their leadership before the start of band camp. Please have your students
contact their section leadership if they have not completed this task.
