impact we believe you will make at DKU, we are offering you a merit scholarship in the amount of 30,217.50
USD. This annual award applies to all 4 academic years (excluding summer terms) and is contingent upon
maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 from the end of your second year. You will be pleased to know that
this award is calculated as a percentage of the current academic year's tuition cost and will be adjusted
proportionally if and when tuition costs change.

In order to secure your place in the DKU Class of 2027, we ask that you complete the final steps in the
admission process:

Step 1: Submit the Decision Reply form promptly. This form, found in your DKU Applicant Portal,
confirms that you have accepted our offer of admission and any applicable awards.

Step 2: Begin the process to transfer your deposit. Please send your tuition deposit of 1,000 USD via
wire transfer to be received on or before May 1, 2023. Instructions for the wire transfer are provided in
your portal and below. Once you’ve sent the wire transfer, please confirm by completing the Deposit
Confirmation form found in your portal. The deposit is required only once and will be applied to any
tuition, housing, or other fees that appear on your first DKU student bill. Information regarding the cost
of attendance can be found on the DKU website.

Step 3: Complete the Admitted Student Checklist. Any additional required documents are found in
your DKU Applicant Portal. It is your responsibility to ensure all requirements are met.

Step 4: Bookmark the Admitted Student webpage. This is an essential resource for admitted students
and their families! 
 
You will soon receive details regarding our very special virtual international admitted student experience "DKU
Bound." Through these activities, you will connect with the  Class of 2027 classmates and faculty, learn about
life and studies at DKU, and begin to prepare for your transition to college this coming summer. Please note,
email will continue to be our official channel of communication for DKU admissions information and updates.
Additionally, we have created a Discord chat group where you will be able to meet your fellow admitted
students and DKU Student Ambassadors. This group is meant to provide an informal space for admitted
students to chat and ask questions of our current students.

One important note is that this offer of admission is made with the expectation that you will continue to
maintain high standards -- academic, behavioral, and disciplinary -- and that you qualify as an international
student status under China Nationality Law and Ministry of Education’s Guidelines Governing International
Enrollment at Chinese Universities. Click here for information regarding citizenship and eligibility. If there is
any relevant change to the information in your application, please inform us promptly.  Should your standing in
any of these areas significantly change between now and the beginning of our fall term, the offer of admission

The Estimated Cost of Attendance is our best approximation of what each student at DKU would need to
cover basic expenses while studying in Kunshan. This is NOT a bill.  You will receive a bill for your
actual charges from DKU Bursar's Office. The estimated costs listed are used for financial aid awarding
purposes only. Your charges may differ.

* Textbook fee will be charged based on actual costs

** This estimate is based on a single room. The cost for a single room is RMB 9,500 and the cost for a
double room is RMB 7,500. The exchange rate will be reassessed each semester to account for market
fluctuations.

*** Transportation cost varies dependent on departure location. Please estimate at least one round-trip
from your location to Shanghai (PVG airport). Students wishing to travel during breaks from the
academic year should budget additional funds for those trips.

such as room, board, books, health insurance, or transportation. For your reference, we have included the total
estimated cost of attendance for 2022-2023.  The most up-to-date figures are posted on the Duke Kunshan
