Describe 2 (two) organisational and workplace policies and procedures


Question 1 related to providing leadership in the organisation. (80-100 words)

Answer: Leadership is a way to lead the workforce in an effective manner so that they can achieve
the organizational goals. In order to provide effective and efficient leadership to its clients, the
organization follows special policies and procedures so that the workforce can be directed in a
manner that they perform in the desired manner.
Every organization has special policies that are related to how the employees will be headed
towards the achievement of the organizational goals. The policy can be to lead staff in an
autocratic manner, democratic manner, or in a laissez-faire manner. This depends on the level of
skills and the Education Company’s human resources attain. There are many different legislations
that will also affect the leadership strategies. Like WHS due to this legislation the leader will have
to ensure workplace safety of the employees, moreover acts like the anti-discrimination act can
also affect leader ship as the leader will have to work and lead employees in such a way that no
one is being discriminated against.

How is business ethics connected to leadership and an organisation’s


Question 2 mission, objectives and values? (80-100 words)

Answer: I believe strongly in ethical leadership, ethics helps us to determine what is wrong and what is right. The
application of business ethics is made in each and every decision that affects the organization. In order to do so I keep
four key points in my mind before taking a decision, those four points are mentioned below:
1.Being honest
2.Doing Justice with everyone without any discrimination
3.Respecting every individual
4.IntegrityIn order to be an ethical leader, I do not make a false statements with my staff. Each
and every move of the organization that may affect them is communicated with them. I believe
this helps in building trustful relations with employees which can lead to efficient achievement of
goals.
Moreover, I am a strong believer in fairness, being fair promotes trust and collaboration causing
an increase in productivity. Building an environment where everybody is respected and where the
display of morals is done can help in building positive work relations in an organization. All these
ethical approaches will raise the morale of the workforce and their productivity will increase for
sure leading to the achievement of organizational goals.
Question 3 Briefly describe the following concepts: “organisational research” and
“implementation methods” (80-100 words)

Answer: “Organizational Research” is defined as research obtaining information only about


organizations, not about the individuals in or served by the organizations. Any research that
gathers information about individuals (whether identified or not) must meet the human
participants requirements described herein.
Implementing can be defined as putting (a decision, plan, agreement, etc.) into effect[2]. Systems
implementation is the delivery of that system into production (that is, the day-to-day business or
organization operation).[3]. It is important you understand this topic isn't about BUILDING or
PROGRAMMING a system, but rather making the system live. We use the word implementation
differently here than we use it when we discuss the design process.
What actions can an organisation take to establish and maintain a positive

Answer: In order to build positive work relations I believe collaboration between staff is necessary. I will adopt
collective organizational policies in order to achieve a positive work environment. The promotion of teamwork is key
to develop a positive work relationship. This can help in gaining trust between staff members, when the staff
members will trust each other and will believe that collectiveness is key to their success they will automatically build
positive relations with each other. This will help in the building of positive work relations. Positive work relations can
also be promoted if activities that require teamwork are promoted. This will help individuals to know each other and
understand each other which will promote positive relations.
What is the purpose of an organisational mission statement? (100-150

Answer: A mission statement is a concise explanation of the organization's reason for existence. It
describes the organization's purpose and its overall intention. The mission statement supports the
vision and serves to communicate purpose and direction to employees, customers, vendors and
other stakeholders.
A mission statement serves as the basis for organizational goals, which provide more detail and
describe the scope of the mission. The mission and goals often relate to how an organization
wants to be perceived by the general public, and by its employees, suppliers.
Why is setting motivating goals important? (50 words max)
Question 6

Answer: Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation . It focuses your
acquisition of knowledge, and helps you to organize your time and your resources so that you can
make the most of your life.
Goal setting theory is a technique used to raise incentives for employees to complete work quickly
and effectively. Goal setting leads to better performance by increasing motivation and efforts, but
also through increasing and improving the feedback quality.
How is planning relevant to setting expectations in an organisation? (50

Answer: Effectively setting employee expectations is a critical part of successfully leading and
managing a team, as well as developing a culture of accountability. Ideally, all managers within
the company should be setting expectations within two to four weeks of an employee being hired.
However, if that has not occurred, it’s perfectly acceptable to establish expectations at any point
during employment.
The benefits of setting expectations with employees are that doing so:

Provides clarity for both the employee and manager and gets everyone on the same page
Establishes a baseline of measurement for future performance
Enhances communication
Empowers employees to act more freely because they have operating guidelines and structure
Creates a reference point when expectations are not met
Provides a way to hold employees accountable.

What are the steps involved in organisational change processes? (50 words)

Answer: Change management is the process of guiding organizational change to fruition, from the
earliest stages of conception and preparation, through implementation and, finally, to resolution.

Change processes have a set of starting conditions and a functional endpoint. The process in
between is dynamic and unfolds in stages. Here’s a summary of the key steps in the change
management process.
