Doer Have you ever asked yourself, What is it that God wants me to do?

" We are going to spend some time in the Scriptures to find out. Lets begin in Matthew. Matthew 21:23 And when He was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the People came unto Him as He was teaching, and said, By what authority doest Thou these things? And who gave Thee this authority?" When you boldly teach God's Word, you may expect people to question your authority. Make certain that you study with a teacher whose credentials are from God not man. The authority was given to Jesus Christ by Father. Matthew 21:24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell Me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. (25) The baptism of John, whence was it.? From heaven or of men?" And they reasoned with themselves, saying, "If we shall say, 'From heaven; 'He will say unto us, "Why did ye not then believe him?' John the Baptist was having quite an impact on the multitudes down at the Jordan. God was changing lives for the better through John. Matthew 21:26 But if we shall say, Of men,' we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet." This put the chief priests and elders between a rock and a hard place. We could say the Rock was Jesus. Matthew 21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And He said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. (28) But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son go work to day in my vineyard.' This is symbolic of God and His children. His vineyard is the world. What is it that God wants you to do? Matthew 21:29 He answered and said, I will not.' but afterward he repented, and went. (30) And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said 'I go sir.' and went not. The first son probably thought that he had better get with it, if he wanted his share of the harvest. The second son lied. What will his share of the harvest be? Matthew 21:31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first." Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. You can't con God. or His Son. They know what you are thinking as you think it, possibly even before. Matthew 21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. Unfortunately, many so-called Christians are like the second son in this example. They say, Ill do your will Lord", but they never get around to studying God's Word so that they even know what His will is. Let's continue our study in Ephesians. The great teaching of Paul. Ephesians 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Christians are servants of Christ; however, when you work for a man, be obedient to him as you would to Christ. This is why Christians are great employees.

Ephesians 6:6 Not with eye service, as men pleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart ; ( 7) With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: If we do the will of God, blessings are certain to follow. If you are one that says, Ill do your will Father", and never gets around to it, you can forget the blessings. Ephesians 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. No matter what your status in life is, you will receive blessings when you do God's will. Why? God is going to make sure of it. Father is in total control. Ephesians 6:9 And ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with Him. (10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. It doesn't matter if you are a servant or a master. God will share His power with you, if you are doing His will. Lets continue our study in the Book of Hebrew. What is it that God wants us to do? Hebrews 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast had no pleasure.(7) Then said I, Lo, I come(in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Thy will, O God." Christ is our example. We are also here on earth to do the will of God. Be a doer, not a talker. Doers receive blessings; talkers receive none. Skip with me to verse 35. Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. God blesses those who bless Him by doing His will. Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. This helps us understand how to receive blessings. This verse helps us understand how to receive the touch of the Holy Spirit in our efforts to plant seeds. Dont overlook the condition to receiving all these things. The condition is "after ye have done the will of God." Hebrews 10:37 For yet a little while, and He That shall come will come, and will not tarry. (38) Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. This is written to this generation in particular. We are talking about the unforgivable sin. Dont draw back when antichrist appears. That wouldn't be doing the will of God, if you are elect. Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. This should "bring you to the party." We are talking about the son of perdition. We are not like them who say, Ill go Father. What do I do when I get there? We have studied His Word so that we know His will and plan. Lets go to Chapter 13. Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, That brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant. (21) Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to Whom be glory for ever and ever .Amen.

You should translate the word "perfect" as "mature. We should all strive to mature as Christians. Mature Christians know and do the will of God. They are concerned with pleasing God not men. Hebrews 13:22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words. Allow the Word of God to correct you. We all stumble at times. When you trip, get back into His Word and His will. Blessings will flow. In conclusion, lets go to I John. I John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. This verse doesn't mean that we are not to enjoy life and success. It does mean that we shouldn't put those things above our love for Father. I John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. We have a flesh body and we have a spiritual body. Make certain your spiritual body rules your flesh body. I John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. This world age will pass. Love this world age more than God, and you too will pass. This who do the will of God can look forward to an eternity in God's kingdom. I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. "The" antichrist will come, and there are many antichrists here today. I John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (20) But ye have unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. The unction from the Holy One allows us to discern between those who are of Christ and those who are not. The word "unction" is from the Greek word "charisma"(khris'-mah) It means a gift or an annointing. When God gives you this annointing, you can easily spot a fake. Unfortunately, you can see a lot of them on television. I John 2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. (22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son. The higher critics will try to tell you that most of the Bible came from mythology. An unbelievable number of clergy today deny the virgin birth. Both are denying the Father and the Son. I John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (24) Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. Don't let some man con you out of the promise or your blessings. Some promises aren't man's to make.

I John 2:25 And this is the promise that He hath promised us, even eternal life. (26) These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. Do the will of God. There is a wedding feast in the near future, and Christ expects a virgin bride. Don't be seduced by antichrist, Kenites, or anyone else who would try to steal your reward in partaking of the wedding feast. I John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him. (28) And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. Those who are deceived will be ashamed. I John 2:29 If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him. Be a doer of Father's will. Then we have the right to claim the promise of eternal life and Father's blessings. How do we know His will? It is written in the Book. In His Service, Arnold Murray
