ETHICS – ACTIVITY NO. 3

Name: Evangelista, Allyana Belle D. Section: BSED EN 1-1

INSTRUCTIONS: Answer the following questions and support your answers by

providing examples. (Minimum of 2 paragraphs, 5 sentences each paragraph).

1. Suppose you will become a business owner or boss someday, what is the
worth of knowing unethical practices on the part of employers in your life
and why?

It is my duty as a business owner and an employer to be aware of unethical

behavior in order to take control of my organization. In order to stop unethical
attitudes and behaviors in the workplace, I must be aware of it. It will also help
me to create proper policies and guidelines for my staff. This will ensure that my
employees receive decent and fair treatment from their co-workers as well as
from myself. Additionally, I hope that ultimately I will be able to respond
appropriately if someone at work exhibits one of those unethical behaviors.

Since I am already aware of unethical behaviors, I will be able to monitor the

dependability and responsibility of my staff. Having quality staff will enhance the
company's honor and reputation. We want to draw and hold the interest of more
clients, consumers, and perhaps even investors. To make sure that everyone
can work securely is my goal. Additionally, I want my staff members to be more
than just workers; I want them to be ethically aware and capable of acting in
ways that will advance their success now and in the future. I want my staff to
know that I will be trustworthy and polite.

2. As a future worker, explain the value of learning unethical behavior on the

part of employees in your life and why?

I have a duty to understand and be aware of unethical behavior as an

employee. If I want to keep my job, of course, I want to act morally both at work
and outside of it. Because I only take actions that are morally righteous and not
harmful to others, I will also be able to understand my limitations and bounds. It
will also help me to keep up productive, positive relationships with both my
company and my coworkers. Avoiding unethical behavior will help us create a
positive and welcoming workplace.

I have a responsibility to obey orders and carry out my tasks in a way that
respects my professionalism and favorable reputation as an employee. If I acted
unethically, I would lose the trust of my employer and coworkers. I also incur the
risk of being fired due to my past performance and lack of work possibilities.
Being aware of unethical behavior is crucial since it can harm not just my
reputation but also the reputation of the company I work for. If I am aware of what
is deemed unethical behavior, I will be more productive, less prone to make
mistakes or misread things, and I will make a better employee.
