For me, the educational tour that took place on December 1, 2022, was a good kickstart

for the month of December. The Blanco Family Art Museum, Pinto Art Museum, and Ayala

Museum were the destinations we went to. This tour focused on the appreciation of the arts

from various perspectives and focal points. Likewise, the tour aimed to primarily educate us

students by exposing us to live forms of arts. And it wished to make us aware of the importance

of art in our lives.

At the Blanco Family Art Museum, I saw that the arts have their own strengths and

weaknesses. The different depictions of arts in each Blanco family member show that we all have

weak and strong sides in our respective forms of art, just like individuals. Others may seem to be

good at realistic paintings, while others are good at abstraction. Because of our differences or

our distinct strengths and weaknesses, we valued others more than we valued ourselves, rather

than seeing ourselves as failures or not as good as them.

At Pinto Art Museum, I felt like I visited another world each time we switched galleries.

Every single gallery has its own personal touches that it felt like, I was invading an artist’s

intimate colorful world even though they truly wanted to share it to others. And for that I was

grateful. Every time I stopped or pause for a minute to stare at a painting, I noticed the point of

views an artist wanted to portray in his or her art. I realized that by looking at others’ arts, we

get to know more about their experiences and feelings that we haven’t knew yet.

The pictures in the next page are few of my favorite arts that I saw and pondered on the

Pinto Museum. These paintings made a huge impression on me. It made me question and

wonder why the artists painted those paintings and it absolutely fascinated me.
The simplicity of this painting struck me and

made me stare at it for like a couple of

minutes.

I also like this painting, because I feel like it

portrays the thrill of unknown future, the

doors we’re going to enter, and the paths

we’re going to take.

And this painting, I like this because I play

cello too. I think this painting means that

playing an instrument is like delving in your

own music space. And when others listen to

the music being played, the cellist also bring

the listener to his or her own music space.

At the Ayala Art Museum, in my opinion, when we say standard and quality, Ayala

Museum is an epitome of these words upon maintaining such important artifacts and arts of our

ancestors. The regulations and security of the Ayala Museum shows high regard to those arts

and made us students realize the vitality of our history. I also noticed and thought about the

private pieces of artworks there, it made me question why would they display it to a museum if

they do not want it to be photographed? I guess at the end of the day, what matter is that we all
have our will in doing our own kind of art. We cannot judge other artists because behind every

art, there is an interesting story or fact about it.

In conclusion, for me, this educational tour did not fail its purpose. I certainly appreciated

arts in every way, stroke, detail, and intricate parts of it through this tour. In addition, the

essence of going to museum rejuvenated and triggered my imagination, a feeling that I felt like I

missed already due to busy schoolworks. Overall, this tour was commendable, and I would

treasure it in my mind and heart.
