Ramadhan Daily Hadith

1. “Whenever you sight the new moon (of the month of Ramadan), observe fast, and when you
sight it (the new moon of Shawwal), break it, and if the sky is cloudy for you, then observe fast
for thirty days”. – Sahih Muslim

2. “When Ramadan enters, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and
the devils are chained”. – Al-Bukhari and Muslim

3. Abu Hurairah said that Prophet Muhammad told:

“There has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month, which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has
enjoined you to fast. In it the gates of heavens are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and
every devil is chained up. In it Allah has a night which is better than a thousand months;
whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived”. – Sunan an-Nasa’i 2106

4. Abu Hurayrah told that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Every action a son of Adam does shall be multiplied—a good action by ten times its value, up to
700 times. Allah says: With the exception of fasting, which belongs to Me, and I reward it
accordingly. For, one abandons his desire and food for My sake. There are two occasions of joy
for a fasting person: one when he breaks his fast, and the other when he meets his Lord, and the
(bad) breath (of a fasting person) is better in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk”.
– Al Bukhari

5. Umm Saleem told that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“(The performance of) `Umrah during Ramadan is equal (in reward) to performing Hajj with
me”. – Al Albani

6. Abu Hurayrah narrated that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Fasting is a shield, so when one of you is fasting, he should neither indulge in obscene language
nor should he raise his voice in anger. If someone attacks him or insults him, let him say: I am
fasting”. – Muslim

7. Abu Hurayrah told that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“The five (daily) prayers, and from one Friday prayer to the next and from Ramadan to
Ramadan, are expiation for sins committed in between, provided one stays away from the major
sins”. – Al-Bukhari

8. Abu Huraira tells a hadith on reward of fasting that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon
him) said:
“Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past
sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward
from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer with faith
and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven”. – Bukhari, Muslim
9. “There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he breaks his fast,
the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed person”. – Tirmidhi: 3598

it.”

“Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six from Shawwal, then that is (equal in reward)
to fasting every day”. – Tirmidhi: 759
