Methodology
● Explain and break down the issues mentioned in the books, very clearly with examples
and application, so that the Ss will know both theory and practice, and be able to answer
real life scenarios based on what they learned.
● Based on the mu’tamad (relied upon opinion of the Hanabila)
● Sometimes I may mention proofs or reasoning when necessary/possible.
● Sometimes, and when necessary, I may mention another strong opinion in the math’hab
and those who chose it from the Imams of the math’hab (e.g. Ibn Qudama, Al-Majd Ibn
Taymiyya, Taqiud-deen Ibn Taymiya, Ibn Rajab, Ibn Muflih, and Al-Mardawi)
● We will try to briefly mention the most important contemporary issues related to our
topics (based on the Fiqh councils and major scholars of our era).
● You are free to follow whatever math’hab you wish, or any reliable scholar, the math’hab
we teach here, or another opinion within the math’hab that is strengthened by scholars
of the math’hab. In the end you are a Muqallid, and I’m relaying to you trustworthy, relied
upon, scholarly opinions.
● Be flexible with others who follow different valid opinions.
