CASE STUDY ANALYSIS

As said in the case study that Health is always a global as well as


local priority. In the post pandemic times as observed, every
alternate household across villages are having some or other form of
non-communicable disease (Diabetes, Heart and Respiratory
Ailments, Thyroid,). The health challenges not only affecting the
overall well-being of the villagers, misinformation, Industrial
pollutions and climate change created a major setback to progress

So to solve this problem globally We the students of VSSUT made a


DRONE to inform the people about different diseases and its
symptoms and also transport medicines in rural areas where there no
facility or transportation available educate them on health and
disease, climate change and environment aspects.

To make this product a successful one we need to focus on


different aspects like exploring trademark registry and patent
filing, planning to promote the firm in social media for better
coverage , we have a planning to approach the GOVERNMENT of
Odisha, also we have a planning to participate as a Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises Exhibitions. Our company wanted to raise funds
through venture funding or bank loans .As a CEO of the company I
have the following responsibilities for the company with a team of
professionals working with me.
FINANCIAL PLANNING:-
▪ HOW MUCH START-UP CAPITAL DO YOU NEED ?
In making drones I need Rs 1 crore out of which the labor cost and the
cost of setting up a factory in production and the technical equipment
and software like and all hardware parts like the motor and battery a
thermal sensor camera for tracking the fast delivery of medicines and
other health related issues and help. We can assure the quality and life
of drones they can fly more than 6 hours and can cover more distance.
This also includes buying land and setting factory and hiring aerospace
engineers to design and modify drones.

▪ WHAT SOURCES ARE AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE SEED CAPITAL ?


I will arrange a detail description of the project in the website of
crowdfunding platforms and on social media like Youtube , Instagram,
google so that the consumers can read about all the profits about my
business and will give funding making online pledges with a promise of
prebuying product or giving donation. I will approach the bank for funding
so that I can share my business plan and valuation details on which the
loan is sanctioned. I can approach the govt for the loans for this business
under Start-up India Program scheme.

▪ HOW WILL YOU SPENT IT,WHAT IS YOUR BURN RATE ?


After designing the product the marketing department of our company
will try to sell the drones in state markets and the local markets. We
have to form a sales team structure this includes setting entry level
price point and try to set a affordable cost the long term and short term
benefit and reach of the product. I will spend the money in the hardware
and software installation and will hire personnel , I will try to spend the
money in buying land, machines and factory production. Company has a
burn rate of Rs 2 Lakh per month..

• HOW WILL YOU ACCQUIRE CAPITAL TO GO TO NEXT LEVEL ?


After selling the product in the market and gaining profit, we will try get
more investors so the pricing value of the company increases. We can
acquire a company to instantly diversify the product line and expand
customer base, increasing growth and keeping dominance in market.
I will try to merge with other company if competing in same business by
reducing resource production and personnel so that competition is
eliminated

• HOW WILL YOU FUND SCALING THE ORGANISATION ?


To increase the scaling of a business we have to We have to create a
business map so that helps in identifying the challenges and purpose of
business and where the company stands in future what is the net
profit and revenue at the end of the year and try to investment on
equipment and proper training of personnel. Focus on investing more on
the hardware and software parts so that it increases the overall
efficiency and it is user friendly in drone. Try to invest less in labor
cost increase the products part. I will try to scale the funds in
advertisement to make people aware about the health disease.

LIKELY YOU CAN EXECUTE THIS PLAN ?
The board members need to assign tasks to different team
members so that both efficiency and profit maximizes and solves
the health related issues of the people. Like the HR department
will recruit new personnel and finance dept is used to acquire and
utilize money and see how much is spend on hardware and software.
The operation department will see all the assembly and proper
working of drones. The marketing department will see that the
advertisement and target buyers who are in need of this products
in this way proper structuring and organizing of all board members
and team members helps to execute the plan.

The mission is to solve the issues related to health issues due to
covid and spread awareness and help support in those areas where
there is no available resources in less time hence the personal
mission of this organization is to supply drones in those areas which
can carry medical help and issues and also aware them by giving real
time information about climate change by analyzing data through
the drone camera. So that we can arrange medical aid and supply of
all helps and safety in time and make them aware about any further
climate change.

Since I am from an mechanical engineering background I am more
of concern about the mechanical components of the drone so I
choose to built this product in order to counter the problem of
health issues and environmental and climate change issues. I can
also manage activities very well in order to run this organization

We need many access to many resources like internet facility and
all materials needed to built factory and the transport facility and
all the components so that our company employee must have all the
connection in different sectors to avoid any kind of difficulty.

GET IT
We need a software developer who can set and run the code inside
the drone and install the sensors and camera and other electronics
component to activate the drones system so we going to hire a
software developer or we can outsource a company so that they
send their personnel who can install. We need labors to built the
factory so we need to hire them and all the machinery equipment in
order to launch the product.

OVER TIME
At the starting period of the company has less team members who
are expertise so there is no requirement of change the composition
but after the certain period when company is growing and making
huge profit and needs to increase its circle so we need to change
the composition of the board we need to hire more people that
should be readily available for the job and also we need more
experienced financial manager.

can register for trademark and have a solid legal ownership of your
brand

As most of our products aim is to provide a better resources and
transportation facility but most of the people who live in rural
areas are unaware and uneducated and there no internet facility
hence they are not digitally connected so these are the growing
concerns in our business . We can reduce this gaps by implementing
our drones that can be very useful and helpful in making a strong
and successful product.

Stakeholders are those persons who buy a part of share in the
company providing financial help . if there are not any stakeholders
in a company the company can fails, there should be a proper
communication between the stakeholders and mutual understanding
between them. The stakeholders can be employees, investors ,
suppliers , customers , owners of that company we can communicate
by email , newsletter, online/virtual presentation or by group video
calls.
• WHAT IS THE COST OF FILLING A PATENT AND
TRADEMARKS ?
The official cost of filling a patent application are ₹1600 for an
individual or ₹ 4000 for a small or ₹ 8000 for large entity. The
attorney fees for drafting a provisional patent application can
range from ₹20,000 to ₹ 35,000,Since our company is a type of
large scale industry so the cost of filing a patent in our industry
will cost about ₹35,000 to ₹40,000.

As our product is based on transportation and health care facilities
we focus on those people like medicine stores and transport
authorities and climate and environment control board and those
people who suffer from lungs disease , respiratory disease , and
diabetic and we focus on those people who are in rural areas and
cannot afford this kind of facility . we can serve them by providing
this type of facility by very low cost and easy available of product.
We can also monitor and give information to and take feedback
from the customers hence by improving the interface.

• WHAT SPECIFICALLY DOES YOUR PROGRAMME LOOK LIKE ?


Our program is specifically designed to help in rural areas where
there is a health issues. We can set up some interactive program
that receive data from interactive user and interact between
peoples about their well being and other facilities with this help of
the infrared cameras and sensors we can analyze the pollution
index and other new fungal disease that emerge in the environment
and the flood disease so that we can predict beforehand the
problem.

• HOW DOES IT DIFFER FROM WHAT CURRENTLY EXISTS ?


Currently there is not much reliable product in a market which can
complete with our products since our product can overcome the
problem of increase battery life using lithium ion battery in drone
which is very cheap and a aerodynamically structure which can fly
at a high altitude and can travel long distance at very reasonable
cost in compared to other products in a market. Hence there is a
change in technology in our product that which was earlier there in
that market.

STRUCTURE WILL YOU PUT IN PLACE TO IMPLEMENT

after the initial success of our company we will now expand our
product globally hence to promote the product of our company we
need the support of the govt hence we need provide the blueprints
of our product and represent before the govt and show them how
accurately and efficiently the firm works . we can show them our
total sales and profit and customer feedback at the end of the
year by the help of a balance statement. Hence we can approach
the government and implement this strategy.

Partnership and collaboration can go s long way in creating a strong
and better community and helps to achieve the goal easily . it can
also help in providing stability both financial and non financial while

like developing contingency plan and handling unexpected situation.
We should measure this above outcomes or else it will lead to

In this covid times there are many risk in going to hospital and
since there is no accommodation of transport so its is very
difficult to get all medicines in time and at proper place, by which
there is a chaos and many people died by lung infection and other
respiratory disease due to lack of available of oxygen so our
company has taken an initiative to reach to the needy and poor
people who can get treatment and other medicines within few hours
an thus basis and experience I have designed and built this
application.

• WITH WHOM AND HOW HAVE YOU TESTED YOUR


SOLUTION ?
As our product is designed in such a way that it can reach a
particular targeted area with few hours and can deliver the
product and trac data with a GPS device so we have tested on the
basis of routine checkup by flying it in different altitude and
accessing data about the patients and their cause which can help us
to deliver this medical facilities within time.

The approach of this drone is to provide a fast and secure delivery
of health kit and updates about any natural calamities, besides this
if our drone business ideas is successful then we will try to develop
an mobile app through which user can get many facility of govt by
setting up many covid hospitals and use of generic medicines of low
cost. This medicines are of very low cost compared to medicines
sold from any private company so our business has tried this
approach besides delivery of health kit and transportation facility.

The major set back of our product is the reach of the product if it
a bit unreachable to those people especially in the rural areas
where there is lack of infrastructure and transport facility .the
major opportunity is this product is totally a unique concept and
affordable and reachable and can complete and solve most of the
health related issues. In this ways there are many gaps and
opportunity in this product if we can work upon and fill our gaps our
company will be a successful company.

Other services provided by many other industry lack the time
frame of reaching the product since our company aims to reach to
the people from all parts of rural areas we have a better
communication and reach than them so we are providing a best
service at a very reasonable rate, so as a CEO of the company I will
ensure that the services provided by my company is best .

equity capital withdrawals, family living withdrawals, and income
and self-employment taxes.

As our drone is used to supply medical equipment to long and

and our slogan is “ YOUR EYE IN THE SKY “ we help and provide
all the medical facility in better and safe and economic way of
helping in delivering fast and effective way of monitoring and
delivering the medicines across most rural and difficult areas.
• WHO ARE YOUR KEY AUDIENCES,BOTH INTERNAL AND
EXTERNAL ?
Our key audiences are those peoples who live mainly in rural areas
and distant areas where there is not much transportation facility
and not much internet and connectivity to the hospital areas. After
all we can extend help about climate control board to give all the
real time data about the global warming and environmental control
we can provide them with very chip and minimum cost.

As a CEO of our company I will like to share this message that to
use more and more of our drone services and get all types of your
health and facilities at your doorstep very easily and safely. We
should not compromise out health at any cost so we should take
precaution and get benefits of this kind of services, and finally I
will say that stay safe stay healthy and do keep your family and
friends safe from all type of health and environmental disease.

As a CEO of our company I will try to communicate by means of all

communicate by advertising and blogging or by telling a short
description of our product in Youtube , we should try to bring many
investors by writing a blog page and publishing it.

Since our startup is a new one and at a initial phase of the branding
a good benchmark is to not spent more than 20% of your budget on
branding. If our business is not a new one we should try to spend
anywhere between 4 – 10 % of the budget. So the cost of branding
of our company will be around 1 to 2 lakh .
