MODULE 1

1. What were the major contributions from the Silk Roads to Globalization4.0?

The Silk Road was an ancient trade route that connected the Middle East, Asia, and the West. It helped
the exchange of cultures, goods, and ideas, which led to some forms of globalization. The spread of
religions and cultures along the Silk Road also helped globalization a lot. Along the Silk Road,
Christianity from the West, Islam from the Middle East, and Buddhism from the East soon intermingled
with each other.
2. How did technology play an important role in Globalization?
Technology has helped us overcome some of the biggest problems with globalization and international
trade, such as the lack of a common set of ethical standards, the high cost of transportation, and the time it
takes to share information. This has changed the market place.
1. Formulate your own definition of Globalization?
Trade and technology have made the world more connected and interdependent. Globalization also
encompasses economic and social changes.
Globalization provides cheaper natural resources and labor.
Globalization is the rising interconnectedness of the world's economies, cultures, and populations due to
cross-border commerce in commodities and services, technology, investment, people, and information.
2. Why do you think there are negative environmental impacts brought about by economic development,
industrialization and international travel?
The effects of economic growth on the environment include the use of more nonrenewable resources,
more pollution, global warming, and the possible loss of natural habitats.

MODULE 2

1. Differentiate local from global culture. Give and describe 2 examples for each how can you or how are
you preserving your own culture? Write a narrative about it with pictures. Make a portfolio for these.
Global communities unite people from different countries. Local communities are formed up of
countrymen with a shared interest or passion. Our culture should be kept alive. Culture is principles,
beliefs, and goals. They're national symbols. Our national identity depends on preserving our cultural
legacy. Cultural heritage isn't its embodiment. As a student, I can preserve our culture by sharing facts or
trivia on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other social media platforms that help us learn about the culture
we have in the Philippines and grow in our identity as a nation and as Filipinos.

MODULE 3
1. Can religion help you in this situation (pandemic) we are in these days? Why or why not? Give your
own examples?
Religion affects public health positively and negatively. Religion helps people cope with stress, uplifts
their spirits during hardships, and gives faith-based healing. Religious organizations and groups provide
healthy nutrition, HIV treatment and counseling, clean drinking water, kid vaccines, and prenatal and
neonatal health screening services in many parts of the world. Religious organizations run some of the
nation's greatest hospitals. Churches are typically charitable in calamities. Religion can harm public
health. Many religious groups' hostility to condom use in poor countries has been linked to HIV/AIDS.
Christian Scientists and Jehovah's Witnesses limit medical services. Religion and public health often
clash. The COVID-19 epidemic and stay-at-home directives from governors have highlighted this
dilemma. Each side seeks a legal remedy in such confrontations. Religion and governance mix.
2. Get a partner and ask his/her religion give a reflection on what you learned from this activity?

MODULE 5

1. Cite at least 3 effects of global media in your life. State the reason why you are affected that way.

They can make new friends, share their thoughts and ideas, and even create "new identities" through
social media networks. Students also learn about a whole new way to learn through social media.
Researchers have found that students who use social media more often are more creative and have better
memories.

2. Take note of the answers of your classmates during the class interaction and observe how or why they
view things that are different from yours.

MODULE 7

1. In your own understanding of global governance, create your own definition of global governance.

When it comes to governing the world, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. In order to accomplish this, it
is necessary to coordinate national policies while also identifying common standards and rules of conduct.

2. How can global governance help with world peace?

- Global governance aims to deliver global public goods, such as peace and security, justice and conflict
resolution, working markets and consistent standards for trade and industry, broadly defined. Because no
country (or small group of countries) can claim global economic dominance any longer, we require more
inclusive global governance.
MODULE 8

Think of a way on how you can preserve or protect the environment. Present a short narrative
with pictures on this activity.

Since I have a subject of nstp 1, Our teacher assigned us the task of planting at least five trees.
So, I asked my friend if he could sponsor me a small tree plant. Luckily, he has many small tree
plants. He gave me rambutan. After that, I went to the backyard of our house to clean the area
where I would plant this rambutan. After cleaning, I planted the rambutan and watered it every
day so that it wouldn't die. Through this kind of activity, tree planting, we can help preserve and
protect our environment.
Local Advertisement vs. Foreign Advertisement

Local advertising is a marketing strategy that targets consumers or customers within a radius
around a physical location with marketing messages tailored to the local populace. In local
advertising, the language that used here is the local language of the nation.

While foreign advertisements are any markets outside of a company's own country, Foreign
advertising involves dealing with different languages, cultures, laws, rules, regulations, and
requirements. Exporting goods is often the first step to entering a foreign market, which can lead
to setting up a business presence there. In foreign advertising, the language that used here is the
language of the nation but they used subtitle so that anyone can read it while watching the
advertisement.
