Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) recently collapsed and its parent company, SVB Financial Group, has now
filed for bankruptcy protection. This means they are asking for help to manage their debts and
reorganize their finances. The bank was taken over by the government and is no longer part of the
parent company. The bankruptcy filing creates a legal battle over the remaining assets between
creditors and bank regulators. The parent company has around $2.2 billion in funds and valuable
investment assets, which they may sell to help pay off their debts.

There is also a class-action lawsuit against the bank, its CEO, and CFO, claiming that they did not
warn people about the risks of interest rate increases. This means that people who invested in the
bank may have lost money and are now seeking compensation.
