    TRANSFORMATION BY TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONS

    TYPE I: ∫ sin m x cos n x dx, where either m or n is a positive odd integer.


    Example 2
    USE: cos 2 x=1−sin 2 x
    ∫ cos 3 y sin3 y dy
    TYPE II: ∫ tann x dx or ∫ cscn x dx, where n is an integer.
    Example 3

    USE: tan x=sec x−1 or cot x=csc x−1
    ∫ sin 2 x tan x dx
    TYPE III: ∫ tann x secn x dx or ∫ cot n x cscn x dx , where n is a positive even Example 4
    integer.

    USE: same with type II ∫ sin 4 x cos 4 x dx


    TYPE IV: ∫ sin m x cos n x dx, where both m and n are positive even integer. Example 5
