    Complete the chart of the verbs:

    II. Form the affirmative sentence with the given verb:

    a. To drink/ party / Last weekend / Beer.

    b. To go / Mountains / my family / during last Vacations.

    c. To fish / Lake / my father and brother / last year.

    III. Change the affirmation into a negative sentence:

    He played handball. → He did not play handball


    Susan waited in the kitchen. → Susan did not wait in the kitchen
    I made the beds. → I did not make the beds
    She asked a lot of questions. → She did not ask a lot of questions.
    Their friends got new computers. → They friends did not get new computers.

    III. Use the verb in brackets to complete the sentence:


    a. I did my maths homework yesterday. (to do)

    V. Complete with the past form of the verb and give and ending to the narration:
    To get up, to take, to have, to eat, to go, to hear, to come, to grab, to be, to call, to
    think,
    Dear Sammy
    I’m writing to tell you about something that happened yesterday. I go up
    at the usual time, about 10 am had a shower and made breakfast. I ate
    a big bowl of cereal and some toast and watched TV for a while. Then I
    went into the kitchen where I heard a funny noise. It come from behind
    the cooker. I go my tool box and moved the cooker
    out of the way. The noise got louder but I couldn’t see anything. I rang
    my uncle to ask his advice. He said that he thought it could be a gas
    leak. When I heard this I just panicked! I put the phone down, ran
    outside, got in my car and drove to the local police station. I told them
    about my gas leak but the constable lost his patience with me. He said
    that I should have phoned the gas company. He wrote his report, then
    rang the gas company for me.

    Complete the ending:

    Hours later, I returned to my house and noticed that everything was


    fine, closed the stopcock and went to my sofa to wait for the visit of
    the gas company.
