Objectives:
1. To support the call of Pope Francis on taking care of the
environment through Laudato Si
2. To promote the value of love for the environment by not collecting
trash once a week
3. To ensure food safety and hygiene by bringing their own utensils
4. To develop the value of responsibility
Guidelines:
1. Every Thursday, students and employees will be asked to bring their
own utensils (spoon, fork, lunch box, and tumbler) to school. These
will be used when they buy food and drinks in the canteen.
2. The canteen concessionaires will not use paper cups, bamboo
spoon and fork every Thursday. They will not sell food and drinks to
those who will not bring their own utensils.
3. Students and employees may also bring their own food for lunch if
they do not wish to buy from the canteen.
4. Food delivery from any provider like Maxim, Food Panda and the
like will not be allowed. Food from outside (carenderia or streetfood)
will not also be allowed entry. Only food placed in your own lunch
box is allowed.
5. The Maintenance Department will not provide trash cans all over
the campus every Thursday. Students are asked to provide their own
eco-bag for their own trash and bring these at home.

In answer to the call of Pope Francis to care for the environment, La Salle
Academy is launching Bring Your Own Utensils Thursday (B YOU Thursday).
The program aims to promote the love for the environment, to lessen the
presence of garbage in school, to promote the value of responsibility
among Lasallians.
