concepts and practicing
new skills #1 How do you describe yourself as a person?
(ENGAGE)
E. Developing Mastery The teacher will discuss the following:
(Leads to formative
assessment 3) There are differences and similarities among people. The psychology of individual
(EXPLAIN) differences rests on the assumption that no two individuals are exactly alike in the
manner of thinking, feelings, and behaviors.

• Attention refers to the active processing of specific information

about one’s surroundings.
• Retention is remembering the person, object, action, or event to
which attention is given.
• Reproduction is duplicating the object, action, action, or event.
• Motivation is the push to imitate or duplicate.

F. Finding practical ACTIVITY: My Life Is a Mosaic

applications of concepts
and skills in daily living Purpose: This activity aims for the learners to reflect on the things they have learned
(ELABORATE) from the people around them and helped them become the person they are today.
Instruction:
1. Ask the learners to create a mosaic that would showcase their likes, dislikes,
hobbies, interests, and talents. Tell them their mosaic should also feature the
people who influenced them to become who they are today.
2. Tell the learners to write the information on colored papers. They can use
colored paper to create their output.
Example:
• I enjoy dancing because my mom loves to dance.
• My friend recommended that I watch Aladdin. Now, it is my favorite movie.
• I had a classmate who liked pop music. Now, I always listen to this genre.
• My father always gives food to people, so I learned to share what I have or can
do for those in need.

3. Tell the learners to write a journal entry to explain their mosaics. Instruct them
that the journal entry should highlight how the people around them have
influenced them.

G. Making generalizations The teacher let the learners give salient points of the lesson.
and abstractions about
the lesson Apparently, not all people are created equal. This sends us the
(ELABORATE) message that people may appear similar in many aspects but
have many qualities that make them different from each other.
These traits may be advantageous or not, but they contribute to
someone’s personality. The distinctions that a person has
contributed to understanding human behavior are never exact.
Our diversity has made it possible for new ideas, inventions, and
perspectives to take center stage and be instrumental in helping
other people.

The teacher will give the summary of the lesson discussed.

H. Evaluating learning Short Essay Response: Answer the question in a short and concise manner.
(EVALUATE)
1. What skills, interests, or behaviors have you recently discovered about yourself?
How does discovering those things improve your life?

I. Additional activities for ASSIGNMENT: Growth Ladder Challenge

application or
remediation Purpose: This short activity aims for the learners to have a chance
(EXTEND) to express themselves through creativity.
Instructions:

1. Instruct the learners to reflect on the purpose and highlights

of their lives.
2. Ask them to think of a movie title (or they may create their
own) to represent their lives and who they are.
3. Allow the students to explain the reason behind their movie
titles.
Example:
Movie title: The Rainbow after the Rain
“I chose this title because the rainbow represents my colorful life.
The highlight of my movie is my life's journey in discovering myself.”
V. REMARKS

VI.REFLECTION
Based on your assessment of
your learners and the things
that you considered while
writing your DLP, which of
the strategies do you think
will work well and why?
What do you think could
possibly be the difficulties
you will encounter along the
way and how will you solve
them? Also, which of your
strategies is innovative,
localized, and authentic that
is worth sharing? Describe
or discuss very briefly.
