Using 5.5mm hook
Working with Tweed Brown yarn in rows

Row 1: Ch27, starting in the 3 rd ch from the hook, 25dc across. Ch2 and turn (25)
Row 2-97: 25dc, ch2 and turn (25)
Row 98: 25dc, FO. Leave a 30-34 inch tail for sewing.

Position the wrap around the wreath so that Row 1 and

Row 98 meet and run parallel to each other. The
beginning/ends of each row should sit on the inside of the
ring. Start by pinning Row 1 and 98 in place, and continue to
pin the beginning/end of rows on the inside of the ring
every 5-6 rows for even distribution. Make sure when
pinning into place, the wrap is stretched slightly and evenly
to ensure a proper fit. Once you have achieved desired
placement, take the tail from the wrap and whip stitch
through both sides to connect the beginning/ends of each
row along the inside of the ring.

Attach leaves randomly down vines, affixing 1-3 leaves per vine. Attach any leftover leaves to

For safety reasons, crochet eyes are recommended for any item that will be used in a baby’s nursery.

Bunny:
There are a few different methods of making a pom-pom. For this pattern, I used my fingers as the anchor, but if you
are familiar with a different method (such as the fork method) you can use that as well.
Using white yarn, wrap yarn around your index finger and middle finger
approximately 20 times and cut the yarn. With the yarn still wrapped on your
two fingers, slip a new strand of white yarn up between the two fingers,
wrapping it around and tying it in a secure knot. At this point, the yarn should
be tied in a solid bunch and you can slip off the yarn from your fingers. Cut
through the looped ends at each side of the bunch and spread out strands. Trim
uneven strands down to desired size, giving it a “round” shape.

Raccoon/Fox:
Note: Raccoon and Fox share same pattern for tail, however they each have different colour changes. For Fox, start
with white yarn, and change to orange for remainder of tail after Round 4. For Raccoon, start with black yarn, and
starting in Round 4, alternate every 2 rounds between grey and black yarn.

Face:
For each animal, the snout should sit roughly between Rounds 10-14. For bear, bunny, owl and fox,
position eyes 2-3 sts apart, sitting just above the snout. For the raccoon, position black eye patches
with the hdc ends pointed towards the middle of the face, 2 sts apart. Patches should sit flush
against the snout. After patches have been sewn into place, sew eyes in bottom/middle corners of
each eye patch. Using tails left over from snout/eyes/nose, embroider eyebrows above each eye. For
owl, use grey yarn to embroider two arches above eyes and 6 “arrows” on chest to indicate feathers.

Ears:
For each animal, position ears on either side of Round 2/3 of head. For
raccoon/fox, sew along the base of triangles to secure into place. For bunny
and bear, flatten ear and sew through final round into head of animal.

Arms/Wings:
For Raccoon/Fox/Bunny, position arms at the front of the body approximately
2-3 sts apart. The last row of sc of each arms should align with Round 21 of
body. For Bear, position arms on the sides of body, lining upthe last row of sc
in the arms with Round 21/22 of body. Sew along last row of sc in arms into body to secure into
place. For Owl, position wings on both sides of body between Rounds 10-15. Sew along top half of
wing to secure into place.

Legs:
For Raccoon/Fox/Bunny, place the back of foot underneath last round of haunch. Using leftover
tail, sew through last round of haunch into top of foot to secure into place. Sew through inside of
haunches onto sides of body between Rounds 26-30. For Bear, position legs on both sides of body
between Rounds 30-31 and sew into place.

Tails/Belly Patch:
Sew all tails onto lower backs of each animal. Center belly patch
on the front side of fox. Sew along Round 3 of patch to secure
to body.

Attaching Animals & Vines:

It is recommended you sew the ends of the vines into the top of the head using new yarn (do not
use tail end, this end is used to attach to wreath) before attaching to mobile, making sure you use the
longer center vine for the Owl. Position animal vines first, spacing
them out in even quarters. Place the four remaining vines in between
each hanging animal. Once animals have been secured to vines,
using a darning needle, draw up tails from vines underneath the wrap
(to hide the tails) and tie into place. Hide any remaining tails inside
the wreath wrap.

Cut 4 x 22inch strands of twine, position them where the non-animal

vines are. In the same manner as the vines, draw the twine underneath the wrap and back up
through the top so that both ends of the twine are equal in length. Once all twine has been looped
up under the wreath, begin knotting around the metal ring (#1). Tie top of Owl’s center vine onto
this hoop before wrapping a fresh strand of twine tightly around the ring to hide all the spare ends
(#2 & #3). For an extra hold, use a hot glue gun to secure twine into place. When finished, ring
should be totally covered in tightly wrapped twine (#4).
