Memo-1 HR
I shall try to outline the HRM department structure, HR system duties of the NHS in the
UK. Healthcare is one of the most crucial aspects of public service, as we all know. It should be
easily available, compassionate, and the best. nevertheless, maintaining the greatest medical
professionals in the industry is among the most challenging tasks. Since the NHS employs more
than 1.2 million people, making it one of the largest employers in the world and the largest in the
UK, the HR department is crucial and essential to the organization. These factors make the HR
department an essential and indestructible component of the NHS. The NHS's HR division is
primarily concerned with maintaining strong teamwork, cultivating a sense of belonging,
planning for the future, and developing innovative methods of working and providing healthcare
services. The HR department continually develops new strategies, plans, and goals while taking
care of and assisting its current employees. Efficiency, teamwork, personal responsibility, social
equality, safety, inclusion, and development are their guiding principles. Civil service,
employment connections, safety and welfare, improvement, and innovation are the major
systems.HR people will handle all matters involving NHS coworkers' employment. This might
entail: the hiring of personnel and the implementation of new employment laws, being
knowledgeable about employment law (equality and diversity, right to work, working hours, etc),
collaborating closely with professional organizations and health unions, maintaining current
records on coworkers. Also, they assist managers in dealing with issues such making sure
employees are performing their duties as they should discipline ; dealing with employees who do
anything improper absence, including vacation, sick, study, or compassionate leave. They have
various positions to plan and manage plan at different levels. I added a photo for organizational
structure of HR in NHS. They manage so many things at a wide range. According to the 2030
plan, they added more concept of developing team working and working compassionate and
inclusive. They mentioned about safety and wellbeing of each worker and citizen are biggest
concern of HR. Acquisition of professionals is also important and biggest challenge in their work
because of less resources in both people and finance. They do not require much to get the entry
level position in HR. two certificates in math and English is required in hard skills and good
communication and negotiating skills and other emotional control and interest in people as many
expect.
