The functions on these vehicles are:

GENERAL INFORMATION
In order to enable or disable the motor immobilizer these systems use remote controls and
transponder keys. When the vehicle is locked by remote control the immobilizer is
automatically activated, vice versa to disactivate the motor immobilizer, open the vehicle using
a remote control and insert a coded transponder key into the ignition block.
If the vehicle is locked using a mechanical key only, the motor immobilizer is not active, but
activates automatically after 30 seconds.

REMOTE CONTROL INFORMATION

All vehicles provided with the remote control illustrated above use the immobilizer system
described and can be programmed by SDD. This remote control is a radio transmitter with two
buttons, one to activate the motor immobilizer and lock the vehicle and one to disactivate the
motor immobilizer and unlock the vehicle. The radio code is modified on the remote control
and immobilizer central unit every time the remote control is used. If for any reason (flat
battery, replacement of battery, etc.) the sequence becomes unsynchronised (the remote
control code is not the same as that on the central unit) it must be re-synchronised in the
following way:
- Unlock the driver’s door with a key;
- Check that all the doors, including the boot and bonnet, are closed;
- Press the “Lock” button on the remote control quickly 4 times.

EKA CODE INFORMATION

The emergency start code is used in the event of a missing, broken or faulty remote control to
cut out the motor immobilizer manually.
In this case the immobilizer is disabled for one start only, at the end of which the operation must
be repeated.
The EKA code is made up of 4 digits and is different for each vehicle. It is issued by the dealer
and appears on the safety plate, or it can be read by SDD using the special “EKA CODE”
function.
To disable the motor immobilizer proceed as follows:
1) Use a key and turn it anti-clockwise in the driver’s door lock to the “LOCK”
position; hold in this position for at least 6 minutes. Turn the key back to the
central position.

Now it will be possible to use the key to enter the numerical value of the four digits in the EKA
code, as shown below:
2) Enter the FIRST digit in the code.
If the first digit is 5, turn the key five times to take it to the “UNLOCK”
position. Make sure the key returns to the exact central position after each
turn.
3) Enter the SECOND digit in the code.
If the second digit is 2, turn the key twice to take it to the “LOCK” position.
Make sure the key returns to the exact central position after each turn.

4) Enter the THIRD digit in the code.

If the third digit is 6, turn the key six times to take it to the “UNLOCK”
position. Make sure the key returns to the exact central position after each
turn.
5) Enter the FOURTH digit in the code.
If the fourth digit is 1, turn the key once to take it to the “LOCK” position.
Make sure the key returns to the exact central position.

6) Finally, take the key to the “UNLOCK” position: in this way the motor
immobilizer is disabled for one start.

If the code is entered wrongly three consecutive times, wait 30 minutes before repeating the
procedure.

From the main menu select: REMOTE CONTROLS Ö LAND ROVER Ö MODEL

 PROGRAMME RKE
This function is used to programme / delete remote controls. Every time programming is
carried out all the old and new remote controls to be used on the vehicle must be
reprogrammed. Remote controls that are not programmed during this operation will not work.
- To activate the function, select “PROGRAMME RKE” e press ENTER.

MAXIMUM 4 RKE
CAN BE PROGRAMMED

Press any key…

No more than 4 simultaneously operating remote controls can be programmed.

- Press any key to continue.

Press UNLOCK
8 consecutive times
until horn sounds or
lights go on.
Repeat for the other
remote controls.

Press any key…

- Press the LOCK key on the remote control 8 consecutive times;

- The horn will sound to indicate that the remote control has been memorized;
- Repeat for all remote controls to be programmed;
- Press any key to finish programming.

This function is used to read the EKA CODE
- To activate the function, select “EKA CODE” and press ENTER.

- As an alternative to the above-mentioned procedure, do not insert a key into the ignition
block and quickly press both the buttons on the remote control simultaneously five times.

posizione per almeno 6 minuti. Portare poi la chiave nella posizione centrale.

If the first digit is 15, turn the key 15 times to take it to the “UNLOCK”
position. Make sure the key returns to the exact central position after each
turn.

4) Enter the THIRD digit in the code.

If the third digit is 10, turn the key 10 times to take it to the “UNLOCK”
position. Make sure the key returns to the exact central position after each
turn.
5) Enter the FOURTH digit in the code.
If the fourth digit is 1, turn the key once to take it to the “LOCK” position.
Make sure the key returns to the exact central position.

6) Finally, take the key to the “UNLOCK” position: in this way the motor
immobilizer is disabled for one start.

If the code is entered wrongly three consecutive times, wait 30 minutes before repeating the
procedure.
