    mathematician, invented the first mechanical computer, the Difference Engine, in 1822. Later, he
    designed the Analytical Engine, which is considered the world's first programmable computer. However,
    due to a lack of funding, Babbage was unable to build his invention, and it remained a concept until the
    1940s, when electronic computers were first developed.

    The first electronic computer, the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC), was built in
    1946 by John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert at the University of Pennsylvania. It weighed 30 tons and
    used 18,000 vacuum tubes, making it incredibly large and expensive. Over the years, computers have
    evolved to become smaller, faster, and more affordable, making them accessible to millions of people
    worldwide.
