Materials list
Yarn:
- Durable Coral - old rose (224)
Matching yarn suggestions: Scheepjes Catona, Schachenmayr Catania, Yarn And Colors Must Have or Pingouin Bella.
- Schachenmayr Baby Smiles Lenja Soft - bege (1010).
Matching fluffy yarn suggestions: Scheepjes Sweetheart Soft or DMC Fluffy Baby Knitting.
Hook:
1.75mm and 3mm (or the sizes you prefer).
Notes Abbreviations
- Fits all my dolls whose instructions are
BLO = back loop only
available in my Ravelry and Etsy shops,
ch = chain / chs = chains
however and because each piece is unique,
dec = decrease / decs = decreases
slight alterations may be necessary.
inc = increase / incs = increases
- It can be made with or without a hood.
sc = single crochet
Both options are described in this file.

- The stitch used is the single crochet V

Jacket
Each row starts with a ch1 that doesn’t count as a st
Row With Durable Coral yarn and the 1.75mm hook - ch25.
1 (start in 2nd ch from the hook) - 24sc, turn.
2 ch1, 1sc, (ch2, skip 2sts, 2sc) 5 times, ch2, skip2 sts,1sc = 24 sts, turn.
3 ch1, sc each st across (including around chs) = 24 sts, turn.
4 ch1, 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) 7 times, 1sc = 32 sts, turn.
5 ch1, 2sc, inc (8sc, inc) 3 times, 2sc = 36 sts, turn.
6 ch1, 6sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 10sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 6sc = 40 sts, turn.
7 ch1, 6sc, ch5, skip 6sts, 16sc, ch5, skip 6sts, 6sc = 38 sts, turn.
8-9 ch1, sc each st across (2 rows) = 38 sts, turn.
10 ch1, 6sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 16sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 6sc = 42 sts, turn.
11 - 14 ch1, sc each st across (4 rows) = 42 sts, turn.
15 ch1, 6sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 16sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 6sc = 46 sts, turn.
16 - 17 ch1, sc each st across (2 rows) = 46 sts
Sleeves:
Row Insert the hook in the loop of the 1st ch at the opening left on row 7. Sc also on the sides of the opening.
1 13sc = 13 sts, turn.
2 ch1, dec, 9sc, dec = 11 sts, turn.
3 - 10 ch1, each st across (8 rows) = 11 sts, turn.
11 ch1, sc each st across = 11 sts.
Try it on your doll. If necessary, add or remove rows.
Cut the yarn leaving enough to sew the sides using invisible seam (mattress technique).
Hood:
On the right side of the piece, Insert the hook in the loop of the 1st ch made at the top. (right side of
Row
jacket).
1 ch1, sc each st across = 24 sts, turn.
2 ch1, BLO - sc each st across = 24 sts, turn.
3 ch1, 2sc, (inc, 1sc) 11 times = 35 sts, turn.
Tip: You can choose to leave the jacket without the hood and use these first 3 rows as a collar and go straight to the
edge (see below how to make the edges).
Edges:
- With Durable Coral and 1.75mm hook sc each st around. You can start in any st you want.
Cut the yarn and finish with the invisible join. Weave in.
- With the fluffy yarn sc each st around. Cut the yarn and finish with the invisible join. Weave in.
Cord:
With Durable Coral yarn and 1.75mm hook, ch 70 leaving a tail at the beginning and at the end. With the help of a
needle, pass the cord through the spaces left by the ch2 made in row 2 (white yarn is used here for tutorial purposes
only). Tie knots at each end and cut the remaining yarn. Optional: Pass each end of the cord through a bead and tie
knots to secure it. Cut the remaining yarn.
