They’re both essentially immortal teenagers who’ve had to take on extreme

What I like about this breakup is that both of them has the fault of it, at that time they
had different goals and personalities, probably not realizing that it still needed to work,

Reading the comments here, I feel like a lot of people aren't thinking about the context
of the show. Absolutely, Mareceline and Bubblegum are both at fault for the demise of

there's a lot of double meaning in the song. I mean, of course, marceline would lash out
because it's her defense mechanism, and like she said she has a lot of baggage like her
mom dying and kinda abandoning her in a post-apocalyptic world. like the "you're a
constant source of misery and pain" feels like she´s echoing her own insecurities. …
