1.0 Aims/Benefits of the Micro-project –


The aim of this micro-project is to compare and contrast the technological
differences and installation processes between printers and scanners.

2.0 Course Outcomes Addressed –


This micro-project will help learners understand the basics of printing and
scanning technologies, differentiate between various types of printers and
scanners, and gain hands-on experience in installing and configuring these
peripherals.
3.0 Proposed Methodology –
The proposed methodology for this micro-project includes the following steps:

1. Conducting a literature review on printing and scanning technologies

2. Comparing and contrasting the technological differences between

printers and scanners


3. Researching the installation and configuration processes for various

types of printers and scanners


4. Installing and configuring at least one printer and one scanner

5. Documenting the installation and configuration processes

professional settings. Understanding the technological differences and installation
processes for these peripherals can help individuals make informed decisions when
selecting and configuring these devices.

7.0 Aim/Benefits of the Micro-project –


To understand basics of printing and scanning technologies, differentiate between
various types of printers and scanners, and gain hands-on experience in installing
and configuring these peripherals.

1) Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners > Add a
printer or scanner.

2) Wait for it to find nearby printers, then choose the one you want to use, and
select Add device. If you want to remove the printer later, just highlight it and
select Remove.
