    WORKING VERTICAL LOAD (SAFE LOAD) ON 1.2m DIA. & 20.0M LONG FREE-HEADED PILES

    For Working Piles, V=370.0t

    TEST LOAD (ULTIMATE LOAD) ON 1.2m DIA. & 20.0M LONG FREE-HEADED PILES

    For Test Pile, Vu = 2.5 x370= 925.0 t.

    Cross-Sectional Area of Pile, A= 1.1309 m

    σc = Vu/A = 817.88 t/m < 1680 t/m , Hence OK.

    However, it is proposed to provide minimum reinforcement (Grade Fe500D having a minimum elongation of
    14.5% & conforming to IS: 1786) in the test pile as follows:

    Minimum R/F = 0.4% of Cross Sectional area of Pile = (0.4 x 11309)/100 = 45.236 cm2

    Provide, 23 nos. of 16mm dia in the Test Pile.

    R/F provided = (23 x 2.01) = 46.24 cm2 > 45.236 cm2, Hence OK.
